BREAKING NEWS !! Chilling Coronation Street scenes in early ITVX release as Carla and Lisa are watched from afar

This article contains spoilers for tonight’s Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.

Just as everything is looking rosy for Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), it seems that something – or someone – may be set to rain on their parade.

Viewers will know that the couple finally got engaged earlier this week, after several failed proposal attempts.

Carla’s latest attempt to pop the question was interrupted by David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) unceremoniously dumping their recycling back over the fence, leading Lisa to discover a scrap of paper with the name ‘Tia Wardley’ scribbled on it.

Tia Wardley had been somewhat of an enigma for Lisa and Carla ever since her name was mentioned by Logan Radcliffe in relation to Becky Swain’s murder.

Having seen how badly the idea of Becky’s possible corruption had been affecting Lisa, Carla took it upon herself to visit Logan in prison for answers.

However, her search into the mysterious name he gave her ultimately led nowhere.

The discovery of the paper months later caused a row between the couple, with Lisa reminding Carla that she had asked her to leave it alone, and though Carla insisted it was old, there was still tension between them.

In tonight’s episode, their engagement celebrations were interrupted by the sudden appearance of Tia Wardley herself – or so they thought.

When she turned up at their engagement dinner in search of Lisa, the detective, along with Carla and colleague Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), jumped at the opportunity to hear what she had to say.

Despite their initial suspicions, Lisa and Kit were wholly convinced when Tia explained that Becky had helped her turn her life around and insisted that without her she would surely be in prison by now.

It was clear that Lisa was relieved that Tia’s story confirmed that Becky hadn’t been corrupt, but Kit still had questions.

Before she left, he asked if she knew DI Costello, having been growing more suspicious of his boss over the past few weeks.

He was finally left satisfied when she revealed that she had no idea who he was.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t true, as it was later revealed.

The woman who claimed to be Tia got in the car with Costello before demanding payment, making it clear that Lisa and Kit had ‘no idea’ what the ‘real Tia Wardley’ looked like.

Though Costello handed over the cash, he refused to answer her questions about why he was so keen to stop the detectives digging further into Becky’s case.

Still believing that it had been Tia they’d spoken to, Carla and Lisa dodged questions from Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) and Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) and finished their engagement meal in peace.

However, as they walked the short distance home, it became clear that they were being watched by someone.

Lisa could clearly sense that something wasn’t quite right, as she shivered and told Carla she felt as though someone had just walked over her grave.

Who is the mystery person trailing Carla and Lisa, and what do they want? Could it have something to do with the real Tia Wardley?
