In next week’s Emmerdale, April is arrested and turns to her granddad Bob for help. Meanwhile, Nicola supports Lewis during a panic attack, and Kev’s plans to keep Robert close include a gun.

1. April is arrested

In a shock development, April calls for help from a police interview room. Celia is annoyed to hear April has been arrested and gives Ray a sharp warning.

When Bob arrives at the police station, his terrified granddaughter insists the police have made a big mistake.

As April is interviewed about drugs, the officers ask if she’s being exploited and April considers confessing all…

2. Bob’s in a dilemma

Bob is unnerved by seeing a different side to April in the police interview. He’s left with a massive dilemma, when she threatens that she’ll never speak to him again if he tells Marlon about her arrest.

When she arrives back in the village, April finds Ray and Celia waiting for her as she updates them on how the interview went.

Celia delivers a chilling threat to Ray, warning that April’s life depends on the outcome of any police inquiry.

3. Celia manipulates Bob

The next day, after April lies to her dad about her whereabouts on Ivy’s birthday, Bob admits to Celia that he feels duty bound to come clean to Marlon.

Celia assures Bob that April’s arrest is minor, but when Bob is adamant Marlon needs to know, Celia hides her frustration.

When alone with April, Celia warns that she’s used up her final chance.

4. Lewis is anxious

Lewis agrees to Kammy’s housewarming party idea despite his anxiety and he tries to stay calm by manning the drinks station.

When the party goers disappear to the pub, Lewis stays to tidy up. Kev returns to collect his jacket and a friendship blossoms…

5. Nicola checks on Lewis

When his workload becomes too much to bear, Lewis tries to hide his emotions, until his mask slips when he’s alone.

The queue of customers at the cafe overwhelms him and he abandons it for home, trying to prevent a panic attack. When Nicola calls round to check on him, will he be able to open up?

6. Kev plots to keep Robert

After Robert prevents a fight between Kev and Mack in the café, Kev realises his best chance to keep Robert close is to lay it on thick about his impending ‘death’.

Spending time with Aaron, Robert dwells on his guilt, feeling bad that he’s abandoning Kev in the last months of his life, unaware that Kev is lying.

Robert’s grateful when Aaron reaffirms their united front, promising to support Robert as he looks after Kev towards the end of his life.

7. Kev is rejected

At the lads’ housewarming party, Aaron and Robert keep their relationship quiet, but they’re mortified when Kev arrives and serenades Robert with their vow renewal song.

After embarrassing himself, Kev leaves, but Robert feels obliged to go and check on him. Kev is satisfied when Robert promises to be there for him as he lives out his dying days.

Later on, Kev holds a handgun as he plans his next move. What’s he got up his sleeve?

8. Anya’s condition gets worse

Anya’s condition gets worse and although Ray promises antibiotics, all Bear can do is tend to her.

Ray is distracted by charming Laurel, but when he returns to the farm he is overcome with guilt at the state of Anya’s condition.

He feels even worse when she reveals she has a daughter and he lets Bear stay with her as she drifts in and out of consciousness…

9. Charity blackmails Liam

With Ross away, Charity attempts to put an end to her husband’s friendship with him. Seizing on Liam as her unwilling victim, she forces him to start a friendship with Mackenzie.

However her plan soon backfires, when the pair clash over a gaming session and realise they’re not cut out to be friends.

But when Charity finds out some secret information about Liam, she blackmails him into trying again…

10. Chas and Liam keep secrets

Both Chas and Liam are hiding big secrets from each other next week, in a move that could put their relationship at stake.

With both parties aware of something that they know they should tell the other, they get close to confiding and then back out. What are they hiding?
