Emmerdale spoilers: John drugs Aaron after Robert reunion, Tracy suspects Nate’s killer, April faces knife terror
It’s another tense week in Emmerdale (Monday 1st – Friday 5th September 2025), with danger, heartbreak, and shocking discoveries across the village.
From John’s sinister plan to keep Aaron under his control to Tracy’s growing suspicions over Nate’s death, several lives hang in the balance.
1. John drugs Aaron after Robert’s emotional kiss
John and Aaron return to the village for lunch with Chas, who notices Aaron isn’t himself. John grows nervous when he overhears talk of the police being called about missing Mackenzie. He rushes off, raising Aaron’s suspicions.
Things get even more complicated when Robert hears Aaron is moving into John’s childhood home. Confronting him while he packs, Robert insists Aaron is making a mistake — and their spark is still alive.
When Robert kisses Aaron, emotions resurface. Aaron is left conflicted, but John’s jealousy pushes him into darker territory. He spikes a bottle of whisky and convinces Aaron to drink it. One glass leaves Aaron unusually affected, but when John steps away, Aaron unknowingly pours himself another poisoned drink.
Is Aaron about to fall into grave danger — and can anyone save him before it’s too late?
2. Paddy makes a terrifying connection
Paddy is hit with an awful realisation this week. At first, it’s unclear if it’s linked to his volunteer work at the crisis helpline or his troubled lodger Dylan.
But viewers know Paddy once spoke to John online, when John hinted at his crimes. Could Paddy finally connect the dots — just as Aaron is at John’s mercy?
3. Tracy grows suspicious about Nate’s murder
Tracy continues to grieve for Nate, but certain details about his death don’t add up. Liam encourages her to consider counselling, but when he questions how Owen could have overpowered Nate, her doubts grow.
Later, Tracy speaks with Charity, who recalls how Mack ended things with her over a voice note. The similarity to Nate’s mysterious disappearance gnaws at Tracy.
Could Tracy be on the brink of realising that John, not Owen, is the true killer?
4. April faces Ray’s wrath in a terrifying drug deal
Ray pressures Dylan into a dangerous job, but April steps in instead. At the carpark, she is confronted by a hooded man with a knife, who demands the bag of drugs. Terrified, April hands it over.
Though Dylan comforts her afterwards, both dread what Ray will say. When they confess the loss to him in the woods, April fears for her safety as Ray’s anger flares.
Meanwhile, Paddy considers asking Dylan to move back in after learning he never returned to the hostel, but Chas is furious and pushes Liam to intervene.
How far will Ray go to keep April and Dylan in line?
