NEW UPDATE! Emmerdale reveals Bear’s heroic decision that has disturbing consequences

Emmerdale has confirmed that Bear Wolf’s heroic decision will have some disturbing consequences. After the beloved character returned to the screen earlier this week, the awful truth of his plight was revealed.

Bear left the area earlier this year after a falling out with his son Paddy Dingle, and has been absent since. His family were under the impression that he had moved to Ireland, but it was revealed on Monday (10 November) that Bear was being held captive by Ray Walters.

Bear has been working for Ray in exchange for accommodation, and befriended Anna in his time spent away from the Dales. Tuesday’s (11 November) instalment began with Bear comforting Anna, though Ray intervened and ordered them to get back to work.

It had ramifications further down the line, with Moira informing Celia Daniels – who is working with Ray – that the butcher had rejected a batch of turkeys after they hadn’t been plucked properly.

Paddy, meanwhile, began to talk with the police as he pleaded with them to begin an investigation into his father’s whereabouts. He didn’t get much luck, however, as the officer said there wasn’t much he could do.

Back at the farm, Celia and Ray soon lined up their captives and explained the situation regarding the turkeys. Though Anna was the one responsible, Bear took the blame for the incident, and was subsequently struck by Ray.

He was ordered to complete a job on his own, with any underperformance resulting in the punishment of the rest of the group. Bear performed admirably and returned back, but found himself on his own again after the group were called to another job.

Ray ‘rewarded’ him by giving him the bare minimum of supplies, and urged him to stay away from Anna as she was “trouble”. Despite his positive demeanour, Ray is attempting to separate Bear from the group – will the tactic work?
