At Forrester, Brooke gasps, “My hero,” as Ridge rubs her shoulders. Donna walks in and awkwardness ensues. Donna asks Brooke to talk. “I’m concerned about Katie.”
They fuss over the stress on Katie’s health due to the undertaking of the fashion house. Donna confesses that she seems really overwhelmed. Ridge declares that she’s in over her head… and she’s doing it all alone (if he only knew!)
Donna sighs. She wants some peace in the family. She doesn’t like Brooke and Katie fighting and she’s not picking sides. Brooke insists she hates this too, but Katie kicked her out of her office. Donna protests that Katie was upset. Brooke squints, “Katie is disrespecting me. She’s using Logan for her fashion house. It’s almost like she’s stealing from Ridge and me!”
Ridge gets involved and grunts about Katie hurting Brooke and not apologizing. Donna exhales in frustration and tells Brooke they can’t let this pull their family apart. Brooke reiterates that Katie is taking advantage of what she and Ridge built.
Lucky Girl
In the design office, Dylan enthuses to Will and Electra about possibly getting a chance to work there. She’s very thankful for their friendship. She marvels at how things have turned around for her because of the two of them. Electra hugs her.
Katie’s Concerns
At Logan, Katie puts off a reporter on the phone asking about her lead designer. Eric enters the office and marvels at her new digs. She gushes about his offer to consult. “I’m beyond grateful.” That said, it’s becoming increasingly clear that she’s not a designer, “And I don’t have one.” Hmm… could the answer be standing right in front of her?
Over coffee, Katie wishes she could find a designer with Eric’s talent. They discuss Deke Sharpe, who shows promise. Eric gets her to list what she’s looking for and he chuckles… what she’s describing will give Forrester a lot of competition.
Katie shows Eric some of the portfolios she’s considering, and he’s clearly not bowled over. Katie shakes her head… she knows they’re not a good fit, at all. She worries she’s bitten off more than she can chew. “That’s what Brooke thinks.” She admits she’s very concerned about her relationship with her sister.
The Final Scenes
In the design office, Dylan’s gone and Will wants to make the most of being alone with Electra. They kiss.
In the main office, Donna reminds Brooke that they’re all Logans… the name belongs to all three of them. Ridge says that’s not the case in the fashion world. Donna tells Brooke they can’t let this pull them apart. Brooke narrows her eyes at her sister.
At Logan, Katie tells Eric she’s not punishing Brooke. He knows that and is sure they’ll resolve things. She has a right to step out on her own and to call it Logan. He thinks Brooke and Ridge are upset with themselves for letting the rights to the name slide.
Talk turns to building her fashion empire. Eric feels the energy and excitement. He goes on and on, telling Katie, “You’re going to love this.” He’d like to help with the foundational part she’s missing. “Katie, I want to do this with you. All of it. I want to design together.” Katie gasps and tears up. Eric imagines the two of them on the runway together and declares, “We’re going to launch Logan!”
