EastEnders’ Jasmine Fisher has made a shocking accusation about Max Branning, telling a cruel lie to help save her plan to flee Walford with his son Oscar. But will everyone believe Jasmine, or can Max prove his innocence?

Viewers know that Jasmine killed her biological dad Anthony on Christmas Day, but Zoe is currently in prison for his murder and Kat is still convinced that Chrissie is responsible for his death.

Kat urged Jasmine to tell the police about Chrissie and she agreed – but meanwhile, Jasmine secretly told Oscar that she was planning to leave the Square and she wanted him to come with her.

Oscar met with Jasmine in today’s episode to talk over her proposition to head to Thailand. She gave him an ultimatum – go with her or end their relationship – and Oscar concluded that he couldn’t leave his family.

He filled in his dad on the situation, and Max advised Oscar that he is better off without Jasmine. But this seemed to change Oscar’s mind, and he told Jasmine that he would come with her on the trip.

The pair excitedly began making plans and Oscar was keen to save money for a few months, but Jasmine was desperate to make a quick getaway – so he promised that they would get the cash.

At The Vic, Jasmine told Kat that she had informed the police about Chrissie and that she was told to stick around in case there were any follow-ups. As Max overheard this, Cindy arrived and explained to him that Jasmine is dangerous and pushed her down the stairs.

When Max heard Jasmine on the phone asking her mum for money, he realised that she was planning on doing a disappearing act.

He headed to tell Oscar the truth about the police and reiterated that leaving with Jasmine would be a mistake – but Oscar remained firm on his decision.

Max returned to the pub to confront Jasmine and threatened to tell Kat about her travel plans if she doesn’t leave Oscar alone. As the situation escalated, Jasmine pushed Max away, with Kat and Oscar rushing to see what is going on.

“He tried to kiss me,” Jasmine explained to them, even though this is completely false. Will Jasmine’s claim about Max be accepted?
