EastEnders‘ Phil Mitchell is receiving an important phone call in spoilers for the soap’s February episodes. Phil has been planning a trip to Portugal with his best friend Nigel Bates, who has been diagnosed with early onset dementia.

While his wife Julie is selling the house in Scotland to pay for her husband’s care, Phil doesn’t wish for his pal to spend the rest of his days in a care home and has decided to go to Portugal with him, unbeknownst to Julie.

New scenes saw a shocking return to Walford for Phil, who was stunned to see his nephew Mark Fowler Jr back in the Square and potentially throwing a spanner in the works of his Portugal trip.

As the storyline continues, February spoilers released by the BBC have hinted at Phil receiving a mysterious message while a worried Linda Carter tries her best to help Nigel and Julie.

Meanwhile, Linda’s friend Bea Pollard is excited about “a fresh start” and elsewhere, Ravi Gulati and Priya Nandra-Hart act to protect their son Nugget.
