“What happened last night can never happen again.” Is #BoldAndBeautiful’s Electra overreacting, or was she right to confront Dylan about sharing a meal with Will? As Hope Urges Taylor to Give Her Dad a Chance, Steffy Warns Deacon Not to Incite the ‘Crazy Woman’
At Forrester, an intern, Jamie, wants the reception desk job. Steffy admits she has someone in mind. Jamie remarks on RJ being back before exiting. Electra comes in and gushes about a trip with Ivy. Steffy tells her Dylan should apply to be an intern as she’s giving Jamie the reception job.
Electra next meets up with Will in the design office, where he breaks the news that Dylan at her share of his chicken teriyaki last night. She teases, “Am I that easily replaced?” Will promises to cook her something even better when she’s back from her business trip. Electra questions how Dylan wound up eating with him.
Will explains that Dylan was doing their laundry to help out, so he invited her to join him. Electra doesn’t want her over-stepping or getting too comfortable in his house. She decides, “I will handle it with Dylan. Don’t worry.”
In her apartment, Dylan applies for a job online, getting frustrated by the requirements for teaching jobs. She gets on the phone and still has no luck.
Hope’s Appeal
Hope stops by the cliff house to see Taylor, who is surprised to see her. Hope admits she’s there to talk about her dad, “About the two of you.” Taylor’s taken aback to discover that she wants to discuss how they feel about each other.
Taylor plays dumb, so Hope tells her Deacon opened up to her and Deke about how much he cares for her. She wants her to know that her dad is a great guy… basically the kind of guy you’d want to look out for you. If there were to be a future for them, Hope would support it.
Taylor informs Hope that this conversation is highly inappropriate… kinda like falling for your patient? Hope understands, but she and Deke want their father to fall for someone better than Sheila. “Someone like you.”
Taylor rises, trying to end the conversation. Hope can’t believe she would want Deacon to be with a woman as dangerous as Sheila. “He’s terrified to leave her.” He’s afraid of setting her off. “That is no way for my father to live.”
Tearing up, Hope fears he’s robbing himself of a healthy, fulfilling relationship. Taylor reminds her he’s her patient and there’s nothing going on between them. Hope wonders, wouldn’t Taylor like to put herself first for once and find fulfillment with her dad?
Steffy’s Warning
At his place, Deacon sets up a mushroom order by phone and then glances at a photo of him and Sheila in happier times. Becoming pensive, he starts thinking about Taylor. Just then, Steffy arrives and announces she’s there to put an end to any thoughts he might have about a future with her mother.
Deacon tries to tell Steffy she’s over-reacting, but she reminds him what Sheila’s put their family through. Sheila is evil to her core and he’s looking for an exit strategy. Deacon denies it, but admits Taylor’s made a profound difference in his life.
Steffy wants her mom to be happy and move on, but not with Deacon, who is taking advantage of her. Deacon protests. Neither of them planned this! Steffy seizes on this, “So, you admit it!” She won’t let her mother become Sheila’s target. “Think about her safety. Do not incite a crazy woman. Do not do this to my mom!” With that, she exits.
Setting Boundaries
Dylan meets Electra in the design office, having been summoned by text. Dylan lets her know she’s been getting turned down by jobs. Electra reassures her, but then reminds her that she needs to respect Will’s house, his space, and her relationship with him. “I know about last night. About your dinner with Will.”
Dylan admits she felt awkward, but Will insisted. Electra, laying into her a bit, says she felt awkward because it was wrong. Dylan will do better and assures Electra she’ll get out of there as soon as possible. Electra warns what happened last night can never happen again.
