Dangerous Jodie set to snare David and destroy sister Shona in sinister Coronation Street twist
Coronation Street’s Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) hasn’t been in Weatherfield for long, but already fans have worked out that she’s up to something.
The character was introduced to us at the start of the month, when she escaped a van that was being driven by Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) in Corriedale. Jodie ran through the woods and was found by Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), and then ended up in hospital.
It was there we learnt of her connection to the cobbles, as it was confirmed she is Shona Platt’s (Julia Goulding) sister.
In a recent episode, the theory that Jodie is hiding something from Shona was fuelled even more when she told a very shocking lie about her past.
Jodie opened up to Shona and said that in her past, she was in an abusive relationship. As she listened with concern, Shona had no idea that Jodie was telling a story from a woman called Ellie, who she met at a domestic violence support group earlier in the day.
Vowing to be there for her sister, Shona has decided to contact their dad in an attempt to get more answers. David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) thinks it’s a bad idea – and he’s right to be concerned.
Metro understands from future storylines that Jodie’s attempt at getting revenge on her sister will see her effectively try and steal her life.
She’s going to try and turn Shona’s friends and step-daughter Lily (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) against her, and will even go as far as trying to seduce David.
Given the fact Shona and David are incredibly focused on looking after baby Harper right now, will Jodie’s plan work?

‘Their relationship as sisters is quite fraught and there’s a lot of history between them’, producer of the show Kate Brooks said recently, discussing what lies ahead for Jodie and Shona.
‘There’s some kind of deep-seated resentment there as well. They love each other, they do have that bond and even though they’ve been estranged for a number of years that bond is still very strong.
‘We’ll find out exactly why she was in that van, we’ll find out what her link to Graham is. Graham was a character with a murky past who was capable of many things.
She added: ‘For Jodie to be embroiled with somebody of that ilk kind of sheds a light on what kind of character she is and what kind of character to expect. We’ll reveal what went on between them and how Jodie ended up running for her life through a wooded area, and what Graham’s role was in it all.’
