Emmerdale favourite Beth Cordingly is over the moon after hitting a huge milestone.

The Ruby Miligan star took to Instagram to celebrate with fans after reaching a whopping 100,000 followers on the social media site.

‘I’d just like to share this moment with you and say I’m so chuffed, thank you so much!’ She wrote, adding that although it was a ‘minor achievement’ it felt like a ‘milestone and really brilliant’.

She went on to reveal that her 100,000th follower was ceramic designer and The Great Pottery Throwdown judge Keith Brymer Jones, laughing at the fact she just so happened to be drinking from one of his mugs as she recorded the video.

Her comments section was filled with positivity, with co-star Bradley Riches, who plays Lewis Barton, declaring himself her ‘NO.1 fan’.

‘You’re a great follow, so real and true,’ another follower wrote, while a third said: ‘ayyy!! well done girlie, we love ur videos. best part of the day!!’

Beth regularly posts on her Instagram and gives her followers an insight into her life away from the Emmerdale village, including her relationship with former Emmerdale star Ian Kelsey.

The couple have been together for almost five years, and Beth has previously spoken about how supportive Ian was when she landed her Emmerdale role.

‘There is that thing as an actor where you are always taken away from home, but he totally gets it,’ she previously said.

‘He knows a lot of the crew and cast and so it’s lovely to be able to share what I’ve been up to, knowing he understands.’

Viewers will recognise Ian as Dave Glover, who embarked on a relationship with Kim Tate (Claire King) during his two-year stint between 1994 and 1996.

In a recent social media video, Beth filmed herself on set in the Emmerdale village, and made a joke about Dave Glover being buried somewhere in the graveyard.

Ruby revealed that she had been abused in a major storyline

During her time as Ruby Miligan, Beth has had some major storylines, including one that saw the character reveal her childhood abuse.

In the harrowing storyline, it was confirmed that Ruby had been sexually abused by her father, Anthony Fox, growing up, and had fallen pregnant with his child.

The story reached a dramatic climax when Anthony wound up dead, with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) convinced he had been the killer and allowing John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) to hide the body.

However, it transpired that Anthony had actually been killed by Ruby, and the group of characters who knew about his death all made a pact to cover the truth.
