Moira’s fate sealed in Emmerdale as two dead bodies found in ITVX release

The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale dated January 30. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.

As Caleb Miligan (William Ash) said, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) is going to find it very difficult to prove she didn’t bury two bodies on her land in Emmerdale.

The beloved character is currently under policy scrutiny after word got out that Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) was running a drug dealing and human trafficking operation on her farm. DS Walsh believes that Moira had something to do with this because she was Celia’s business partner for a little while, and she also found ID cards belonging to some of the slaves in her house, unaware they were planted by Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).

As if this wasn’t bad enough, Moira is also waiting for the results of Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) scan, which will eventually confirm he does have cancer.

Moira remained confident in today’s episode that Walsh would eventually disregard her as someone involved in Celia’s reign over the village. She believed that once Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) starts to feel better, he’ll confirm she had nothing to do with it.

As this was going on, Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) was determined to find more clues regarding Anya, and the red ribbon Bear mentioned to her.

After Bear told her that he wasn’t actually planning on meeting Anya, Ruby started to get a terrible feeling that she had been killed. She told the police, but they basically told her to keep her nose out.

Ruby and a reluctant Caleb then returned to Moira’s land and went in search of the red ribbon. Ruby found it in the end, and realised Bear was referencing Anya’s grave.

DS Walsh headed back to Butler’s and a confident Moira said she could search the land. Believing nothing would be found, Moira had no idea Walsh and her team were pulling two bodies out of shallow graves.

As Ruby reeled in the discovery vulnerable woman Anya had been horrifically killed and buried, Caleb wondered how on earth Moira will get out of the nightmare that lies ahead.

Next week, Walsh will return to the farm and arrest Cain and Moira in front of their children.

They’re both horrified, but Cain knows the drill and keeps shtum as he’s interrogated, whereas Moira – who bleats on about her innocence – can’t hide her emotions when she’s given a bold piece of new news – Celia is dead.

Now things are looking really bad and even Moira can’t deny the evidence against her. Cain is released without charge, but he learns from Caleb that one of the bodies was found in Moira’s blanket. This sends Cain into a rage and he refuses to leave without his wife. It’s romantic really, his wife’s DNA is literally all over a cadaver and he still sticks by her. N’aw.

The DNA is the final nail in the coffin and Moira is dealt the blow – she is charged with Celia and Anya’s murders.

Cain is forced to visit his wife in prison and when she walks in with a fresh black eye, he realises how bad things are.
