Anna’s finally free on #GH! Or is she? There’s one possibility so shocking, we wouldn’t be surprised if it’s true! The General Hospital Switch So Shocking, It *Has* to Be True
If there’s one thing we know about this Anna mess on General Hospital, it’s that Finola Hughes is delivering a master class performance! Now that Anna’s been moved to France for real and escaped, she’s been just about bringing viewers to tears as she begs Felicia, Mac and Emma to believe her unhinged warnings about Faison. Right now, Emma seems to be the only one giving her grandmother much benefit of the doubt, which is all the more frustrating after all we’ve watched Anna endure over the past few months.
To make things worse, this confused, desperate, shattered Anna is a far cry from the shrewd, strong former agent who’s tangled with the worst of the worst over the years and always comes out on top. And that, in part, may explain why some fans want it so desperately to not be Anna. After all, how in the world was she moved from Port Charles to France during a blizzard?

At first glance, it seems to be a pretty far out theory, especially since Alex is dead and Anna’s been rapid-firing details of her captivity that only she would know. But then, Alex is yet another death in which the body was never recovered. We’re already worried that Nathan is actually Peter in disguise — and secretly the mastermind behind Cullum and Sidwell. And this would give “Anna” the cover to be seen with and work with “Nathan” more.
If Peter’s back from the “dead,” why not his mom, too? If mother and son had been keeping tabs on all that’s been happening with Anna, she’d know exactly what to say, what to claim and how to act to make everyone doubt her sanity. And if she was to replace Anna again, acting like she had a mental break would be a great way for Alex to explain any inconsistencies and keep everyone off-balance.
The last time Alex took over her sister’s life, Emma figured it out almost immediately. But there’s no way she could do the same with this kind of behavior. Even if “Anna” is eventually calmed down and brought back to Port Charles, the mental break could easily be used to explain any lingering odd behavior in Alex’s portrayal.
It’s out there, yes. It’s definitely kind of crazy. But it would also be on track with all the other Faison-centric oddities that have been going on! Britt’s back from the dead, Nathan and/or Peter could be back from the dead, Anna was convinced Faison’s back from the dead… Why not Alex as well? If nothing else, it would explain how the heck they “moved” her during that blizzard that went nowhere!
