5 Coronation Street death possibilities confirmed in dramatic flashforward

Coronation Street confirms five potential murder victims tonight, during the soap’s special flashforward episode. Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster are all in the spotlight, as one character is set to be killed this April.

The episode begins with a shaken Betsy Swain being questioned by the police, having discovered a dead body nearby. It’s revealed that the interview is taking place in the future, following her mum Lisa and Carla Connor’s wedding.

Betsy explains that she was heading into town after the nuptials, when she came across the victim. The episode then returns to present day, focusing on the five characters and how their recent actions could have led to their possible death.

Megan Walsh

The walls have recently been closing in on groomer Megan, when Sam Blakeman discovered her her inappropriate ‘relationship’ with Will Driscoll. After falling pregnant, the sports coach has been planning to run away with the teen, in order to escape the repercussions of her actions.

But with clever Sam remaining hot on her trail, Megan’s dark secret could be exposed at any moment. Will the huge fallout lead to her shocking death?

Maggie Driscoll

Speaking of fallout, hell hath no fury like a protective grandma – as viewers learnt last December. The matriarch’s fiery temper came to light during a flashback, with the revelation that she had killed her husband.

Later, Maggie stepped in to protect Will after he attacked Daniel Osbourne on Christmas Day, proving her unwavering loyalty to her family. So, if she discovered the truth about Megan’s grooming, could her revenge land her in unexpected danger?

ITVCarl Webster

Cunning Carl has avoided any accountability for his destructive actions over the last year. With Debbie Webster determined to take the fall for the Corriedale crash, it looks like Carl will get off scot-free once again.

However, after discovering Debbie is actually his mum, the villain has been on the warpath, goading both his friends and neighbours. Will he finally meet his grisly end at the hands of one of his many foes?

Jodie Ramsey

Another Weatherfield resident who has been playing with fire is newcomer Jodie, who has carefully wormed her way into the Platts’ lives (and home).

Viewers know that Jodie has been keeping a number of secrets from her new family, including why she was tied up in the back of Emmerdale‘s Graham Foster’s van. Will Jodie’s mysterious past come back to haunt her?

Theo Silverton

Ever since Billy Mayhew’s tragic death, things have been looking bleak for Todd Grimshaw. With no hopes of escaping his abusive relationship with Theo, Todd has been left at the mercy of the sinister scaffolder.

Viewers have seen Theo’s coercive control reach new lows ahead of their upcoming wedding. But will Todd find another confidant to help him, or could he take matters into his own hands to end his suffering for good?

The episode ends with another flashforward scene on the day of Lisa and Carla’s wedding. As the couple celebrate their future together, we see a bruised Carl, frantic Jodie, Maggie looking menacing, Megan with a bloodied nose, and a secretive-looking Theo.

A blood-curdling scream from Betsy fills the air, marking the end of one character’s life. But the story is just beginning to unfold as we slowly learn the identities of the victim and the culprit.
