EastEnders star married in surprise Las Vegas wedding

Former EastEnders star Melissa Suffield has confirmed she has got married – in Las Vegas!

The actress, who is 33, portrayed Lucy Beale in the long-running BBC soap between 2004 and 2010.

Melissa has been engaged to partner Robert Brendan since 2019. They have a son together called River, who was born in 2020.

Recently, the star took to her popular Instagram page to share the news she is now married to Robert.

She shared a video that gave a small insight into her special day. Melissa was wearing a white mini dress with leopard print glasses, while Robert wore a smart black suit and shirt.

Their son River also looked very smart in his own tux suit! The trio were seen posing on a pink car, with ‘Little White Wedding Chapel, A Tribute To Elvis’ printed on the side.

The caption on Melissa’s post reads: ‘6 years after our cancelled Covid wedding we thought we should probably get round to making it official.

‘And yes, in the most ‘us’ silly and easy going way as possible. Can’t wait to catch you up on the rest of our trip but right now, we’re catching a flight to California!’.

Of course, Melissa’s post was full of kind messages from her fans, who all shared congratulatory comments following the big news.

‘Oh congratulations beautiful lady!! So happy for you!’, one user said.

Another wrote: ‘Omg congratulations to you both. You all look amazing. Wishing you all the best’.

The star has been incredibly open about being diagnosed with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and a vitamin B12 deficiency.
She previously shared that it took around 40 GP appointments, several medical tests, and more than five figures in costs before finally getting a diagnosis.

The actress has spoken about how difficult it’s been managing the symptoms, which include nausea, reflux, constipation, and fatigue.

Melissa also revealed she’s experienced hair loss and dry skin as a result of the condition.
