SHOCKING NEWS !! EastEnders confirms new love interest for Oscar Branning – and a show legend isn’t happy

With EastEnders’ Max Branning (Jake Wood) set to return to Walford imminently, his estranged son Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) has no idea of the drama and heartache that awaits.

But next week, he gets the chance of finding some short-term happiness when a new love interest arrives on the scene.

While Oscar does not currently have contact with Max, it has become clear that the teenager has inherited his father’s lothario ways since his arrival on Albert Square earlier this year, which we’ll see again in forthcoming scenes.

Oscar takes a shine to a girl called Jasmine, who Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) gives a job to at The Albert next week.

As Jasmine gets to grips with her new role, she makes a good impression with Cindy, but she’s less than happy when she spots sparks flying between her and Oscar.

After Oscar turns on the charm offensive, Cindy warns Jasmine to stay away from the troublesome Branning.

He is undeterred, however, and asks her out on a date by stealing an outfit from the market, causing Cindy to try and meddle once more.

As Cindy has caused heaps of drama for Oscar’s sister Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and her relationship with Peter Beale (Thomas Law), will Cindy succeed in ruining Oscar’s chance of love?

Meanwhile, Jacqueline Jossa and Scott Maslen, who play Lauren and Jack Branning, recently revealed their hopes to see Lauren and Oscar’s mum Tanya Branning (Jo Joyner) return to the soap.

Speaking at an EastEnders press event earlier this month, Jacqueline said she’d been ‘texting’ Jo to try and convince her, following co-star Jake Wood’s recent reprisal of his role of Max.

Scott added: ‘We need a bit of naughty Max first, don’t we? We need him back for a while for her to come and sort him out.’
