Coronation Street reveals Theo’s cruel plan – as he chooses new target

Coronation Street’s controlling Theo Silverton has made another enemy in funeral director George Shuttleworth as he continues trying to isolate Todd Grimshaw from his loved ones. In new scenes, Theo targeted George, Todd’s boss whom he has always regarded as a father figure.

The villain could barely conceal his irritation when he overheard Summer Spellman and George talking about James Bailey staying over at Todd’s. “Nothing happened,” Summer reassured Theo, but George chimed in, saying: “Todd’s a free agent now, isn’t he?”

“Good luck to them,” Theo responded through gritted teeth, but an ominous glance gave away that he was planning to get back at George.

He went over to Annie’s table, pretending to be a fellow unhappy customer and lying about George scamming his wife out of money for her mother’s funeral.

“He should be wearing a mask and stripey jumper, that lad,” Theo told Annie. “Same goes for his sidekick.”

“Theo’s trying to isolate Todd because he doesn’t want anyone else’s opinions getting into his head,” explained James Cartwright, who plays Theo.

“And so, the last person who really has Todd’s ear is George; he’s his closest ally. Seeing this opportunity to get George out of the picture is too good to miss.”
