FAMILY AFFAIR Emmerdale incest horror as Cain Dingle tries it on with his COUSIN amid brutal cancer battle
EMMERDALE is set for a horror incest storyline when Cain Dingle tries to kiss his own cousin as he struggles to cope with his life falling apart.
The village hardman – who is played by actor Jeff Hordley in the ITV soap – is in dire straits with losing Butler’s Farm to the Tates, a prostate cancer battle, and his wife Moira languishing in prison for a double murder she didn’t commit.
And so next week when things become too much of a struggle, Cain spirals out of control.
Viewers know that Cain is due to have an operation on his prostate that could have serious side effects post op.
His granddaughter Sarah urges him to go to a surgery school for Moira’s sake but it quickly goes wrong.
Cain bolts from the meeting after hearing a member complain about his relationship post-diagnosis, unable to contain his own worries.
When Sam forgets his meeting about the farm machinery, Cain explodes with suppressed rage and storms off.
Concerned, Charity follows him home and presses him to explain his behaviour.
But with Cain hitting the bottle, she’s worried to see him drinking so fast, and tries to get through to him.
She urges him to look after his health but, in a fit of rage, Cain throws the whisky bottle and ends up breaking Zak’s tankard leaving him utterly devastated.
After Charity pushes him, Cain finally admits that he’s failing to keep Moira’s old life together whilst she’s in prison and that he can’t try any more.
But in a bid to find any distraction from his worries, Cain tries to kiss Charity as they reminisce about their relationship.
Charity and Cain’s biological fathers – Zak and Obadiah Dingle – are cousins.
It’s not the first time Cain and Charity have slept together – they’ve been together before as teens – which resulted in daughter Debbie – and then later as adults.
She knocks him back but the shock incest plot comes despite Charity being pregnant with Ross Barton’s baby when she’s actually meant to be a surrogate for granddaughter Sarah’s child.
To add to the complications, Charity’s husband Mack believes the baby to be his.
The messy situation will come to a head soon as Charity goes into labour later this year – but will the truth emerge?
