Hosted by Sharon Marshall, it gives fans the opportunity to get up close and personal with their favourite Corrie stars.

Cast members are sharing behind-the-scenes secrets, telling stories and reliving heart-warming moments from the ITV soap.

The Sun can reveal bosses have been forced to slash ticket prices for Manchester’s Lowry Theatre show in a bid to fill empty seats.

The tickets for Saturday afternoon’s show have been cut by more than half the price to just £20.

Fans received emails advertising the discounted on tickets on Thursday afternoon, less than 48 hours before the maintee show.

The Sun has contacted ITV for comment.

This Salford show will feature the iconic Barbara Knox, who has played Rita Tanner since 1964.

Other cast members scheduled to appear include Jack P. Shepherd, Rob Mallard and Julia Goulding.

Meanwhile, this marks the second blow to happen to the official tour in just a matter of days.

Earlier this week, the soap’s Vicky Myers, who plays fan favourite DS Lisa Swain, was forced to drop out of the Glasgow date of the tour at the last minute.

The actress penned in her Instagram story: “I’m so, so, sorry to miss the Glasgow show for An Audience with Coronation Street on 24th September.

“Due to unavoidable last-minute schedule changes, I won’t be able to be there.

“Every possible scheduling option was explored, however it was just not possible I’m afraid. This was completely out of my control.

“In my place I am delighted that the legend and utterly gorgeous ‘Sunshine Sue Devaney’ will be joining the line-up instead – she is going to be amazing – she IS amazing!

“I know it’ll be an incredible evening celebrating 65 years of Corrie magic. I’ll be there in spirit. Sorry, Vicky.”

The official Coronation Street statement read: “As we head towards the exciting An Audience With Coronation Street tour, we are sharing the news that due to unavoidable and complicated change in her filming schedule, Vicky is no longer able to join the Glasgow show on September 24th.

“Sue Devaney will now step on stage in the place. Vicky is very sad that she’s unable to be there.

One fan commented: “I feel your pain! I have come over from Australia and factored a lot of our travel plans around getting up to Glasgow on that date. Disappointed, but it can’t be helped.

“I love Corrie, but Vicky was the real drawcard. I’m sure it will still be a great night!”

Another said: “I’m so sad. It is gutting! You were definitely the reason to come to Glasgow from the Netherlands!

“I do realise this is not your choice, though! We’re gonna miss you!”
