Coronation Street’s Debbie to issue life-changing threat to Abi

Coronation Street’s Debbie Webster threatens to reveal Abi and Carl’s affair to Kevin next week – unless Abi packs her bags and leaves No.13 behind for good. Will Abi comply with Debbie’s demands, or risk her wrath by staying put?

When Debbie is checking the hotel CCTV footage after a theft, she spots sneaky Abi creeping towards her lover Carl’s room. Putting two and two together, Debbie hammers on the door – but will she find them in the throes of passion?

“Debbie’s as smart as they come, and she can smell what Carl and Abi are up to a mile off,” exclaims our Corrie spy. “Exactly what she finds in the hotel room remains a secret for now – but ultimately she orders Abi to move out of No.13, or else she’ll tell poor Kevin everything.”

Debbie’s suspicions begin when she spots smitten Abi hanging around the hotel reception with a room key in hand. When Debbie asks Abi why she has the key, Abi lies and tells her that she forgot to return the key card from a previous hotel stay and is only there to finally bring it back.

Not backing down, fierce Debbie insists that she can’t recall Abi’s booking, prompting conniving Carl to step in and try to convince his sister that her dementia is to blame.

“Carl using Debbie’s dementia against her is a disgustingly low blow,” our source continues. “As humiliated Debbie hangs her head in shame, even Abi is horrified that Carl would be so ruthless towards his own sister just to keep their secret.

“Carl lying like this could be seriously detrimental to Debbie’s condition…”

With Abi facing a choice between staying at No.13 with her family or having her affair exposed, will she succumb to Debbie’s demands?

And if so, will Debbie be able to stay quiet – or will she expose the truth and surely break her brother Kevin’s heart?

Sue Devaney, who plays Debbie, previously told us: “It’s not just having an affair with somebody in the street. It’s having an affair with the brother – that’s heavy.

“How’s Debbie going to find that? I think she’ll do some arguing and some shouting. I don’t think she’s going to take that lying down, knowing Debbie!”
