Coronation Street reveals another dark rift between Theo and Todd
Coronation Street has aired a new dark development in Todd Grimshaw and Theo Silverton’s relationship after villain Noah Hedley’s sudden death. Corrie fans know that Theo has exhibited some abusive and coercive tendencies and has been attempting to isolate Todd from his loved ones. Following Noah’s death by an apparent heart attack, the situation has become even more tense between Theo and Todd.
Theo has opened up to Todd about being affected by his ex-friend’s passing, while Todd didn’t seem to understand why Theo could grieve his homophobic abuser.
In tonight’s hour-long episode, Todd worried about Theo as he was on the phone with his estranged wife Danielle, who had been in a relationship with Noah until his death.
Todd struggled to be supportive when Theo said he would go and see Danielle later on to comfort her.

At the Rovers, Todd vented to Maria Connor, admitting he couldn’t work out why Theo was “so upset”.
“I seriously can’t understand how anyone could be gutted that he’s dead,” Todd then said of Noah. “He was a bully. Worse, he was an abusive bigot. We should be throwing a flaming party,” he added, with Maria saying she agreed.
“He deserved to die,” Todd finally added, but was shocked to see Theo standing right behind him. Theo revealed he’d been overhearing their conversation.
Todd tried to explain himself, saying he didn’t want to cry “crocodile tears” over someone who ruined “a lot of lives” — including Theo’s. But his boyfriend was disappointed in his insensitive attitude.
“I don’t believe this,” Theo muttered before storming out of the pub.
Todd turned to Maria for comfort, but she said he could’ve been more tactful or even just kept quiet not to upset Theo.

It seems this is only the beginning of a deeper crisis for the couple, as Theo is set to hide a secret from Todd.
In upcoming scenes, Theo agrees on a night out in the gay village with Todd and their friends. As they’re having a good time at the club, a man recognises Theo and freezes.
As mystery man Owen hurries out, Theo tells Todd to re-join their pals and follows him to the bathroom. In the loos, Theo manhandles Owen, ordering him to stay away.
