HOT NEWS!! Emmerdale reveals shock arrest in harrowing new Carl and Clemmie story
Emmerdale has confirmed a shock arrest in the harrowing new storyline involving Carl Holliday and Clemmie Reed, with the real reason behind Lucas and Carl’s fight at school being revealed.
Viewers saw Nicola King and Dawn Fletcher called to the school earlier this week after Lucas, who is Clemmie’s half-brother, got into trouble for hitting Carl.
Dawn was shocked to learn that her son Lucas had hit Nicola’s son, and attempted to get to the bottom of why it had happened.
After Dawn tried to get Lucas to apologise, Lucas refused and in tonight’s (10 October) episode, the real reason behind the brawl was exposed, leaving both families in a state of shock.
When the police came to the village to speak to Clemmie and Carl, they explained to Nicola why they were there, saying: “We have information that Carl Holliday has possessed and distributed an indecent image of a child.”
At Home Farm, the police explained the situation to Dawn, telling her that Clemmie had sent an indecent image to Carl, which he had distributed in a group chat.
“Because Clemmie is under the age of consent, it’s an offense to take or distribute,” the police said, explaining that Clemmie had taken the picture herself.
Both families were horrified, and Nicola and Jimmy were sure that Carl wouldn’t do such a thing, but he later admitted that he did. “I did it. I sent the picture of Clemmie,” Carl said, telling his parents that he didn’t ask her to take it.
Nicola tried to convince Dawn not to take things any further, but it didn’t work, with Dawn saying: “I just want to go through the proper channels, okay? Carl needs to face the consequences of his actions.”
Later, the police said they would continue their investigation into the incident and that they would interview Carl under caution at the police station tomorrow, with Nicola pleading with them to not “ruin his life before it’s started”.
Looking forward to next week’s episodes, Nicola and Jimmy will face a crisis after Carl is taken into police custody and the feud between the Tates and Kings continues as Nicola and Dawn get into a heated argument.
