In tonight’s special standalone episode, April got ready for a meeting that Ray had set up between her and a client named Tim to deliver some drugs.
After driving April to the appointment Ray warned her that Tim would expect her to stick around in his hotel room. He told April: “I need this to go right, kid, reputation is everything.”
April arrived at Tim’s hotel room, where she handed him some cocaine. Tim attempted to make small talk with the teen, who seemed eager to leave.

Tim encouraged April to stick around for a while and it soon became clear that the villain had much more than a drug delivery on his mind.
When Tim tried to pressure April into trying some of the drugs with him, she declined and Tim told her to have one line to get her “in the mood”.
As Tim went to sit near a terrified April on the bed, the creep called her “pretty” and touched her hair, saying: “Carrying a lot of tension in those shoulders though, love.”
After Tim attempted to give April a neck rub, she told him she’d changed her mind about doing drugs so he got up to get them.

With Tim distracted, April made a dash for the door while Tim shouted: “Where are you going? Sit back down. You haven’t done what I paid for.”
Later, a tearful April explained what had happened to Celia, saying: “He wanted me to do coke with him. He undid his belt. And I thought that he was going to force me to… ”
Celia manipulated the teen, telling her she had no choice but to work for future clients.
In next week’s episodes Marlon tries to get his relationship with April back on track and Bob suggests perhaps checking up on her via Dylan. Meanwhile, Ray exerts pressure on April to go through with the job next time, whether she likes it or not.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
