Coronation Street has cast an EastEnders villain in an upcoming flashback episode about the new owners of the Rovers Return.
According to new reports, EastEnders star Aidan O’Callaghan will trade Walford for Weatherfield in an upcoming episode focusing on the childhood of Corrie newcomer Ben.

Ben’s episode would be the second flashback for Corrie in recent months after the soap first explored the past of characters Lou and Mick Michaelis and their connection to Kit Green in scenes aired in May.
Prior to his Corrie appearance, O’Callaghan starred on EastEnders as Lewis Butler, who relocated to the Square as the manager of the Prince Albert back in 2022.
Out and proud since he was 13, Lewis developed a friendship with Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway.
However, things took a dark turn when Lewis wanted to take his friendship with Ben, who wasn’t single, to a different level. When Ben refused and turned down his advances, Lewis forced himself onto him and raped him.
When Ben confronted him the next day, Lewis denied assaulting him. When Kathy Beale found out the truth, she fired Lewis and ordered him out of Walford.

Upon his return, the rapist was kidnapped and held at gunpoint by the Mitchells, with Ben forcing a confession out of him and letting him go.
After reporting Lewis to the authorities, Ben was disheartened to learn that his rapist had been charged with sexual assault on another man.
