SHOCK NEWS!!! Coronation Street’s Dee-Dee ‘to face heartbreak again’ as boyfriend’s identity ‘unveiled’
Coronation Street fans have ‘sussed out’ the real identity of Dee-Dee Bailey’s new beau – and it’s not going to end well.
Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) has certainly had a tumultuous past year on the cobbles. Last year, she was betrothed to solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill).
However, he met his untimely demise in September, after his vile crimes were exposed, and despite Joel’s murder, Dee-Dee’s nightmare didn’t cease there as she discovered she was carrying his child.
Determined she wanted nothing to do with it, Dee-Dee planned to hand the baby over to her brother James (Jason Callender). And in March, Dee-Dee gave birth to baby Laila.
Dee-Dee has been growing close to Ollie
Following a terrifying birth experience, that saw her lose a significant amount of blood and undergo a hysterectomy, Dee-Dee struggled and was conflicted about whether or not she wanted to keep Laila, reports the Daily Star.
However, after some family drama, Dee-Dee and James agreed to co-parent her. And in recent weeks, things seem to be looking up for lawyer Dee-Dee.
Last month, she encountered newcomer Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) at the Rovers, and the pair quickly hit it off. He later made a return to the soap when it was revealed he was going to be one of Dee-Dee’s clients after his involvement in a dangerous driving case.

Despite initial hesitations about mixing business with pleasure, Dee-Dee decided to embark on a romance and in Wednesday’s episode (3rd September) the pair enjoyed a date at the pub.
However, fans have now ‘sussed out’ the true identity of Ollie and it doesn’t bode well for Dee-Dee. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one viewer speculated: “Could this Ollie be a journalist or person obsessed with Joel as he is acting rather strange.”

Another added: “I think he seems a bit dodgy…too pushy.” A third agreed: “I think defo a reporter trying to get an inside scoop.”
Yet another fan commented: “He’s creepy. He’s way too obsessed and pushy towards Deedee. I can’t look at him, he gives me stalker vibes, another DV/Sexual assault storyline coming up.”
