Was it only a few short weeks ago that Randy and Hayley discussed their long history of conning rich men outta their money? We got the impression they were professionals… but lately, it’s felt more like amateur hour where their attempts to do away with Bill are concerned. Worse, it’s dumbing down other character in the process. Did Naomi really think that her friend-turned-stepmonster knocked that tea cup out of her hand because of a few germs? And Hayley isn’t even being discreet in her come-ons to Izaiah, whom she knows to be the brother of her husband’s son-in-law! We love to watch Marquita Goings every move, but we need the writers to respect Hayley’s brain the way Bill worships her body.

Days of Our Lives Hit With Sami Aftermath and More
Sami still being talked about after she was gone and meeting of her ex-husbands club was cute and fun, highlighting how great the show is at keeping characters in the present even when they’re not on screen. Her fiancé is a big ol question mark, which could eventually have repercussions, too. And while you could argue there was too much tedious rehashing of history for history’s sake during the anniversary episodes, the week used old story to great effect when Gabi recounted to Ari her past with Nick while being a teen mom, and Rachel learning she was switched at birth, which led to her remembering she shot EJ.

Bold & Beautiful Missed With Its End to the Luna-cy
Wait, that’s… it? We appreciated that the show pulled out all the stops for Luna’s last stand — a Steffy/Finn drone shot, helicopter stock footage, half the cast giving chase — but didn’t her sendoff seem… sudden. Outta nowhere, she admitted to Will that she’d lost the baby, went on a midnight jog on the beach, got hit by a car and… the end? After all that? Why didn’t the show seize the opportunity to stage a murder mystery since it had everyone who hated Luna in hot pursuit?

Young & Restless’ Hit With Its Game of Cat-and-Mouse
We saw Cane and Phyllis’ hookup coming a mile away, but that didn’t make us any less happy when it finally happened. But of course, with those two being two of the screwiest characters in Genoa City, their tryst wasn’t motivated merely by lust or affection, it was inspired by their desire to get the best of each other. She’s stolen his AI, he suspects as much, and the games have just begun. Count us in for what promises to be an exceptionally bumpy ride!
