Next week on Coronation Street, Becky plots to murder Costello in shocking scenes. Meanwhile, Todd gets a shock when he tries to stand up to Theo, Asha returns home, and sparks fly for Daniel and Megan.

1. Todd is trapped by Theo

Todd is recovering from physical injuries at the hands of Theo and is forced to agree to stay home for a few days to hide them.

When Summer reveals that Todd cancelled on her and has gone to London, Theo deviously plays along.

However, when Summer spots movement in the flat, she is concerned and tells Theo that she thinks a burglar is in there.

2. Becky makes a shocking move

Lisa tells Becky they may have identified Costello’s attacker, a lad called Soap. Becky pretends not to know him, then secretly meets Soap to collect Costello’s burner phone, which he hands over.

Later, Lisa tells Becky that doctors are waking Costello from his induced coma. At the hospital, Becky checks no one is watching, before grabbing a syringe, intent on killing him before he regains consciousness.

However, when she comes face to face with Lisa, the game could be up.

3. Debbie fights back

Debbie rehearses her speech for the Women in Business event but keeps losing her train of thought. Carl reassures her that it’s fine to read from her notes, before manipulating the situation further by asking for her login details, claiming it is to pay the staff.

Debbie tells him where he can find her notebook and takes to the stage, where she introduces herself.

However, as Debbie opens her tablet computer to consult her notes, she is horrified to find the screen locked and is unable to remember the password.

Thinking on her feet, Debbie closes it and speaks openly instead, explaining all about her dementia diagnosis and what it means for her future.

4. Theo fears he’s been caught out

With Summer worried about an intruder in the flat, Theo reluctantly agrees to check it out.

However, he is thrown when Gary and Ben insist on going back with him as back up. Is Theo about to be caught out?

5. Daniel makes his move

Will gets a text from Megan, telling him that she’s applied for a job at Weatherfield High.

Megan later tells Daniel she has had an email confirming her interview.

Daniel asks her out and is thrilled when she accepts.

When Megan later gets a call informing her that she’s got the job, she shares a passionate kiss with Daniel, leaving Will heartbroken.

6. Todd is forced to lie

Dev calls over at Todd’s flat, having heard about the ‘burglary’.

Todd is panicked when he sees Dev and is forced to lie that he got back from London early and that the cut on his head is the result of a drunken afternoon.

7. Dee-Dee has big news

Ollie wants to spend Christmas Day with Dee-Dee but she has other ideas.

When Dee-Dee refuses to commit to the plans, Ollie is left feeling upset.

Ollie later reveals that Dee-Dee has dumped him. Maggie offers to have a word with her, but Dee-Dee is soon confiding some big news in Alya…

8. Christina tries to support Todd

Theo gives Todd a fitness watch and urges him to get back into his training now that he’s ‘back from London’.

Todd later returns from a run in palpable pain, and his struggles are witnessed by Christina, who invites him inside.

Theo is furious as he spots their exchange, but will Todd open up to Christina about what’s really going on?

9. Will loses his temper with Liam

Liam quizzes Will about his life in Hull and wonders if he’s got a girlfriend.

Will is offended by Liam’s interrogation, and squares up to him, which is witnessed by a horrified Maria.

10. Todd tries to stand up to Theo

Theo shows Todd the new exercise bike, as Billy and Summer spot the cut on Todd’s face.

Theo is quick to claim that Todd got it while partying in London, but Billy isn’t convinced.

When Danielle arrives to say she’s taking the kids to Tenerife for Christmas, Todd fears Theo will blow up, but Theo is unexpectedly fine with the arrangement.

However, he then checks his fitness app and scolds Todd for only doing one sprint, and even blames him for Danielle’s decision.

This prompts Todd to finally snap and insist he is leaving, but he is stunned when Theo suddenly starts slapping himself.

11. Becky’s murder plan falls apart

Kit tells Carla that he knows Becky is involved in the attack on Costello but it’s tricky to prove without Costello’s phone.

Becky talks to Costello’s daughter and learns the date of her birthday.

While she looks through holiday photos on Costello’s iPad, Becky memorises the screen password. But when Kit tells Lisa they’ve found Costello’s phone, has Becky acted too late?

12. Roy continues to spark suspicion

Roy is flustered at work, prompting Nina to explain to Shona that he received a letter this morning which has left him unsettled.

Shona decides to go through his post to get to the bottom of what’s going on, but Roy is furious when he realises what she’s doing.

13. Lisa fights for Carla

Still reeling from their recent breakup, Lisa is determined to make Carla see sense.

She tells Carla that it’s her she wants, not Becky. But will Carla change her mind?

14. Asha returns home

Dev arrives back with Asha, who is clearly nervous.

As Asha settles back in at home, she is thrown when Dev suggests that she might want to rethink her paramedic training.

15. Maria and Eva go head-to-head

Tensions continue to simmer between Maria and Eva, and it doesn’t go unnoticed by Maggie.

Eva tries to ignore Maria’s comments, but Maggie clocks their spat.
