CORRIE BLIMEY Coronation Street fans spot a huge blunder by Gemma in the shop – did you notice?
CORONATION Street fans spotted a huge blunder in a recent episode – but did you notice it?
During one Coronation Street scene Gemma was working in the shop but appeared to make a very big mistake.
One of the items Gemma was seen scanning was an empty sandwich box – without a barcode.
And the slip-up wasn’t missed by eagle-eyed viewers, who took to social media to call out the mistake.
Sharing the moment on TikTok, someone wrote: “What did she scan?”
Another replied: “The empty sandwich box [laughing emojis].”
A third joked: “Invisible bar code… I do the same in Asda.”
And someone else complained: “Does my head in, especially with the blatant empty coffee cups at least have water in them? It’s so jarring.”
It’s not the first time fans have been left baffled by a mistake in one of Weatherfield’s shops.
Dev’s store is one of the staples of the street – but it is a local shop and not a chain supermarket.

With this in mind, viewers were left stunned when they spotted something that shouldn’t be on Dev’s shelves.
An eagle-eyed fans posted on Reddit: “Watching Corrie and see there are Sainsbury’s nappies in Dev’s shop! Really?”
Coronation Street residents previously got a Co-Op and a Costa as part of a huge sponsorship deal.
But a new deal saw the Co-Op later replaced with a Sainsbury’s and Argos store.
Today a host of Coronation Street stars were seen donning all-black as they arrived on-set following their co-star Daniel Brocklebank’s gripping exit storyline.
Back in July, we revealed the actor, who plays much-loved vicar Billy Mayhew, would meet his maker in “explosive” scenes – with no way back for his return.
