Could Sophie Webster really be coming back to the cobbles? šŸ›« Six years after her dramatic exit, Brooke Vincent finally breaks her silence.

ā€œCorrie Is Homeā€: Brooke Teases Her Long-Awaited Comeback

After six years away from the cobbles, Brooke Vincent has shared her hopes of returning toĀ Coronation Street — and fans are thrilled. The 33-year-old actress, who first appeared as Sophie Webster in 2004, revealed she would ā€œlove to go backā€ to the ITV soap now that her two young sons are older.

Speaking to theĀ Mirror, Brooke describedĀ CorrieĀ as her ā€œhome,ā€ saying:

ā€œWhenever, if ever, they ask me, I’d love to go back and see them. It’s a lovely place to work. I feel like I’ve had such a long time off to enjoy my children without the pressure of a tough filming schedule. Now they’re older and more independent, I’d definitely be in a position to take on more work.ā€

Sophie Webster’s Exit — and the Door Left Open

Viewers last saw Sophie in October 2019, when she left Weatherfield to go travelling after inheriting money from her Aunty Vi. Her final scene — waving goodbye from a taxi — left fans hopeful that her departure wasn’t permanent.

That open-ended exit now looks increasingly meaningful. With Brooke hinting that a comeback could be on the horizon, speculation is rife about how the writers might reintroduce Sophie. Could she return to reunite with Sally and Kevin? Or will her globetrotting lifestyle bring a new twist to the Webster legacy?

Life After the Cobbles

During her break fromĀ Coronation Street, Brooke’s career has taken a new direction. She became a presenter on Hits Radio and recently toured withĀ The Syndicate, the late Kay Mellor’s hit stage production, alongside Gaynor Faye and Max George.

Reflecting on her experience, Brooke said:

ā€œIt was fab! I loved the play. It was a family production and we embraced our roles in it. It was hard juggling work and family life — uniforms, hobbies, everything — but I had a ball.ā€

Balancing Family and Fame

Since stepping back from acting, Brooke has focused on raising her two sons, Mexx, six, and Monroe, four, with partner and former footballer Kean Bryan. The actress admitted that parenting while pursuing creative work has been both rewarding and chaotic.

ā€œAny parent will tell you, sometimes it’s like juggling in the dark,ā€ she laughed. ā€œI literally just wing it every day. Some days, I win at it, some days I don’t. That’s life.ā€

Her social media followers often see her sons cheekily teasing her fashion choices — something Brooke finds hilarious. ā€œThey tell the truth! I’ll think I look good and they’ll say, ā€˜Mum, what are you wearing?’ They’ve got no filter, but that’s what makes it funny.ā€

A Family Podcast and Future Plans

Brooke recently launched a parenting podcast withĀ EmmerdaleĀ actor Danny Miller and radio presenter Wingman, blending humour and honesty about modern family life.

ā€œIt’s fun, very tongue-in-cheek. We just have a laugh and tell stories about being parents. It’s not super polished — just real, feel-good chaos.ā€

The success of the podcast has reminded Brooke how much she loves connecting with audiences — a passion that could soon lead her right back to theĀ Coronation StreetĀ set.

ā€œI’ll Always Feel Lucky to Have Corrieā€

Brooke’s affection forĀ Coronation StreetĀ shines through every word. She remains close to her castmates and has never ruled out a full-time return.

ā€œI’ve worked with so many brilliant people there. It’s such a huge part of who I am. I feel incredibly lucky to have that.ā€

With long-time favourites like Helen Worth and Sue Cleaver recently departing, and Daniel Brocklebank expected to follow, there’s a space opening up for familiar faces — and fans are hopeful Sophie Webster will soon walk those famous cobbles once again.
