EastEnders brings in new lady for Peter Beale – as he risks everything
EastEnders’ Peter Beale shares a drink with fellow parent Demi next week, who clearly has the hots for him. Will Peter give into temptation and stray from Lauren?
Peter first encounters Demi while bringing his son Jimmy along to a sensory class for little ones. From the get-go, it’s clear as day that Demi sees something special in Peter, and they later meet up at The Vic to pick up where they left off…
“Ian advises Peter to stay well clear of Demi,” reveals our EastEnders spy. “It’s surprisingly sage advice considering Ian’s track record with women, but Peter throws caution to the wind and heads to The Vic.
“Demi is delighted with his company and even slips her hand on top of his. It’s surely not a great look for a fella with a fiancé and two kids at home…”
After the meet-up, Peter heads home feeling full of beans – and throws that energy into seducing his partner Lauren Branning. But little does he know Lauren’s cousin Penny caught sight of exactly what he’s been up to with Demi. Will she let slip to Lauren about Peter’s liaison with the local mum?
The next day, Lauren and Peter show no shame when Oscar walks in on them together. Smitten, the couple then head to Johnny’s birthday party at The Albert, where Penny instructs Peter to come clean to Lauren about what he’s been up to behind her back…
Ultimately, Peter decides he’d rather not go through the hassle of telling the truth – but his secret is exposed anyway when Lauren spots a flirty message on his phone.
However, Lauren’s reaction is far from what either Penny or Peter would have expected, as she seems totally unfazed by the whole thing. In fact, her nonchalance throws Peter so much that he starts to question their relationship.
“It’s really not like Lauren,” our source adds. “Knowing both Lauren and Peter, this definitely wouldn’t have go down well a few years ago.
“But times change and Lauren has grown up lots since her early days with Peter.”
Later in the week, Penny organises for her, Lauren and Demi to meet up for a coffee, and the three women end up getting along like a house on fire.
During their chat, Peter rocks up at the café and unexpectedly hears the trio laughing at his expense – which leaves him feeling awkward, to say the least.
Luckily, Lauren manages to put things right with Peter, before explaining to him that she’s up for more excitement in their relationship. In response, the dad-of-two turns to Kathy and Ian for their wisdom, but the pair are shocked when Peter reveals that he has a plan in mind…
What exactly could Peter have up his sleeve? And might it make or break his and Lauren’s fragile relationship?
