EastEnders reveals Sam Mitchell’s next sinister scheme in early iPlayer release
EastEnders has revealed Sam Mitchell’s next sinister plan as she attempts to get her hands on some cash. Sam made a sensational return to Walford this week, heading straight to Phil’s house to steal money from his safe. Nigel caught her but allowed her to take it, mistaking her for his daughter Clare.
After a run in with Kat and a meet up with Ricky, Sam tried to flee Albert Square – but Jack ran after her and stopped her at the tube station. It was then that Sam confessed that she had found a lump and feared she has breast cancer.
In today’s episode, Sam explained her concern that she had the same illness as her late mum Peggy. However, Jack quickly realised that she hadn’t actually seen a doctor yet.
They were interrupted by furious Phil, who came to collect his stolen cash. When Sam’s cancer fears were brought up, Phil didn’t believe her sister’s claims.

Jack filled in Denise about Sam’s return and her health worries, so Denise met up with her in the café to encourage her to get her lump checked out, for the sake of her son.
Desperate, Sam told Denise that she would go to the doctor if she and Jack gave her £20,000 for Ricky’s future. Denise agreed to the deal and so Sam phoned the GP and made an emergency appointment for the next day.
Denise then explained the situation to Jack – but revealed that she didn’t plan on giving Sam the money and was just stringing her along so she would get checked out.

Sam, Jack, Denise and Ricky headed over to the Slater house for a family dinner, though things didn’t go well as Jean’s mental health continued to decline.
When Sam brought up the payment, Denise refused to pay up until she went to the doctor – and confirmed that she would be coming with her to the appointment.
Sam headed back to see Phil and ask for a place to stay, and Phil eventually agreed to let Sam sleep on the sofa for the night.

Left with Nigel, Sam realised that he still thought she was Clare and that he was willing to do anything to help his so-called daughter.
“I want you to know that Phil’s not the only one with a few quid squirrelled away,” Nigel said. “I’m still your dad, so if you need anything, you just come to me.”
Will Sam take advantage of Nigel’s ill health and use him for financial gain?
