Emmerdale characters Paddy Kirk, Bear Wolf and Dylan Penders have a dramatic week in store, as DS Walsh is getting close to learning the truth about what happened to Ray Walters.

Bear decides to protect his family by lying, claiming that he killed Ray deliberately. But Paddy and Dylan refuse to let him go down for that, so they also hand themselves into the police — and face charges of perverting the course of justice!

“At this point, they’re still going to try claiming self-defence and they were really just witnesses to it. There’s a problem with that, because they buried the body!” Paddy actor Dominic Brunt said. “So they’re still implicated in a fairly serious crime.

“But I think the days of claiming they were nothing to do with it are over and their Plan B is to be honest about it, say exactly what happened and that Bear was saving Paddy and Dylan.”

But while Paddy thinks that it might be “game over” after what Bear tells the police, there is someone who might be able to help them: Laurel Thomas.

“Ray spilled the beans to Laurel and told her what he was and what they were doing, so that could definitely help. Any evidence could help”, he explained.

“And hopefully in the future there will be something that is uncovered, that hasn’t previously been talked about. But also, there were witnesses who died so they’re not around! And they were the witnesses that they needed. So it will take a miracle to get them out of it.”

Thankfully there’s no bad blood between Paddy and Laurel after that drama with Laurel taking Bear to Ray’s funeral behind his back.

“They made up very quickly – there were hot heads, everyone was worried, everyone was being territorial”, Brunt concluded.
