Emmerdale’s Ray unleashes shocking new plan – and Marlon is devastated
Emmerdale’s Ray Walters has unleashed a shocking new plan, leaving Marlon Dingle feeling devastated. After Marlon and his wife Rhona Goskirk were tricked by the villain, things went from bad to worse for the pair. Viewers know that Marlon’s daughter, and Rhona’s stepdaughter April Windsor was manipulated into dealing drugs for the evil Celia Daniels and her son Ray.
The villains, who have terrorised a number of people in the community since their arrival, also attempted to get April to sleep with men for money — though she managed to escape.
In last week’s episodes, April finally came clean to Marlon and Rhona about her ordeal and the family attempted to run away. Their plan to flee was thwarted by Ray, who told them they could pay him £20,000 to free April from her debt.
With Marlon turning down Rhona’s suggestion to get Cain involved because it would be too dangerous, it seemed as though the couple only had one option.
In tonight’s episode, Marlon convinced Rhona that they needed to pay Ray off by the end of the day and they agreed to give him £20,000 to leave April alone.

Marlon struggled to get a big enough loan from the bank, who gave him £10,000. After selling his car, they managed to total £17,000. But that wasn’t enough.
Rhona and Marlon tried to get the full amount together. At the pub, Marlon told Ray: “Your money, we’ll have it by the end of the day.”
After scraping the money together, they met with Ray, who made it clear he had tricked them and he would not be leaving April alone despite taking the money.

“Well, I may have named a price, yeah. And you may have thought we had done a deal. But I don’t ever remember agreeing to your terms,” Ray said as he left and Marlon attempted to grab the money back.
To make matters worse, Rhona admitted to Marlon that she took out a payday loan for £3,000, saying: “I was desperate. We needed to find the money.”
A frustrated Marlon replied: “We thought we were doing a deal with the devil… The devil doesn’t even come close.”
What will they do now?
