EastEnders has seen Jasmine Fisher make her next move in her mysterious plan to get closer to Cindy Beale. Jasmine recently came to the Square and landed a job at the Prince Albert, and she’s been getting cosy with Oscar Branning. Her suspicious behaviour, however, has alerted Oscar’s sister Lauren, who prompted her little brother to quiz Jasmine and have a look at her online footprint to find out more.

In new scenes, Oscar and Jasmine’s boss Elaine Peacock decided to have a snoop online, but were surprised to find no trace of Jasmine.

Lauren joined them at the Albert and the trio made fun of Jasmine’s apparent obsession with Cindy — but they didn’t realise she was just standing behind them.

“Nice to be trusted,” Jasmine said with a disappointed look on her face.

Oscar tried to stop her, but she stormed off.

Later on, the couple made up when Oscar acknowledged he hadn’t been fair to Jasmine. “I know how much it hurts when people write you off before they give you a chance,” he told her.

“But you did it anyway,” she said, explaining to Oscar why there wasn’t any personal information about her online.

Jasmine claimed her parents had strict rules regarding access to social media, preventing her from getting her own profiles or even having a smartphone before she turned 18.

“Maybe they were just looking out for me,” she said seeing Oscar’s shocked reaction.

“Their worries must’ve rubbed off cause I still hate using socials,” she added. “You know, in case some weirdo tries to track my movements online!”

Oscar wasn’t willing to let his doubts go though and swiftly returned to the subject of Cindy.

“Elaine says you ask a lot of questions,” he said tentatively.

“Cindy’s been nice to me,” Jasmine replied, explaining her interest in her boss was nothing more than admiration.

Jasmine then borrowed Oscar’s house keys, claiming she needed to use the bathroom. However, her sly expression suggested she was just looking for an excuse to sneak into the property.

Later that night at the Vic’s Halloween party, Jasmine asked Oscar and Peter Beale if she could stay over while she was looking for a place of her own in the area.

When Peter offered her the chance to stay in his and Lauren’s bedroom while they were on their honeymoon, Jasmine had a different idea. She hinted at their spare room, with Peter telling her she couldn’t sleep there because it was Cindy’s.

Oscar promptly reminded Peter that Cindy hadn’t been over in a while, making it clear he wanted his girlfriend to have the room. Though his brother-in-law seemed hesitant, Oscar pushed him to accept Jasmine’s offer to take the room and help pay the rent.

“Cindy won’t even know I’ve been there,” she said, smiling.
