HOT NEWS!! Lauren and Amy at war over Ollie in Coronation Street – and an accusation follows
Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) and Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) are both pretty keen on Ollie Driscoll (Raphael Akuwudike) in Coronation Street – but one of them can never be with the Rovers Return resident.
Why? Because they’re actually cousins.
Lauren and Ollie’s romance hopes were quashed a few weeks ago when interfering Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) discovered what was going on between them. He was confused, but Ollie had no problem moving on and flirting with Amy.
Next week, Amy reveals to Lauren that she’s off on her first proper date with Ollie. Annoyed, a distracted Lauren ends up stumbling while handing Amy and Ollie some drinks, leaving Amy soaked.
The next day, as Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) share their delight at Amy and Ollie’s successful date, Maggie pulls Lauren to one side and orders her to go home, dress to impress and head to Speed Daal to show Ollie what he’s missing.

Amy and Ollie are actually related
In Speed Daal, Ollie and Amy are getting on well but when Lauren rocks up, Ollie can’t tear his eyes away. Afterwards, Ollie rounds on Maggie for using Lauren to sabotage his date with Amy.
While it would be far better to just tell the truth, Maggie is meddling in Ollie’s love life because she knows he is related to Amy.
It turns out that Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson) – who has now been killed off – is none other than Ben Driscoll’s (Aaron McCusker) dad.
As first revealed by Radio Times, Maggie had an affair with Jim four decades ago and it will come to light that the patriarch, who is dad to Street legend Steve, is also Ben’s father.
With Amy and Ollie being Steve and Ben’s children, starting a romance is a big no no!
But with Maggie refusing to reveal the secret, will this mean permanently damaging her relationship with Ollie?
