HOTTEST NEWS TODAY!!! Coronation Street spoilers as Dev breaks down, Theo lashes out and Ollie plays hero
The impact of Asha Alahan’s recent mental health crisis takes its toll in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, while Theo Silverton’s dark side continues to rear its ugly head.
When Kit Green lets slip that he’s read Asha’s attacker, Naomi’s, file and she’s got a history of aggressive behaviour, Bernie and Gemma Winter agree that she needs to be taught a lesson.
As Dev fusses over Asha she tells him to leave her alone. Then once in the pub, Dev breaks down as he admits to Glenda Shuttleworth that much as he wants to help Asha, he feels out of his depth.
Meanwhile, determined to teach Naomi a lesson, Gemma parks herself at Naomi’s table in the Bistro. But when Bernie reveals their plan to wind Naomi up, force her to lose her temper and capture it on video, Toyah Battersby is horrified.
At the same time, at the kebab shop, Abi Webster is asking Dev for some shifts when he takes a call from Toyah informing him of Bernie’s hair brained scheme.
Thrusting his apron at Abi he hurries out. As he makes his way over the the Bistro, Gemma is found hurling insults at Naomi, who loses her rag, as Bernie films before Dev and Kit arrive.
Meanwhile, Nina Lucas shows Asha the online video and she’s mortified to watch as Dev blames Naomi for the fact his daughter tried to take her own life.
It’s then later that Dev tells Bernie that his son, and Asha’s twin, Aadi saw the video and that he’s deeply upset that they failed to tell him about Asha’s suicide attempt, making Bernie feel terrible.
Also speaking of Abi, she and Carl Webster discuss their financial straits, both in need of a job. Meanwhile, Kevin opens a letter and is incensed to see that Abi’s started divorce proceedings.
Later, a flustered Debbie Webster makes mistakes at the hotel and Carl comes to her rescue. Carl summons Dylan Wilson and shows him the details of a car he’d like him to steal.
Dylan refuses and hurries out, while Abi makes a note of the car. As Abi heads out, a suspicious Debbie follows her. Abi finds the car in Freshco car park but as she dithers, clearly having second thoughts, Debbie arrives.
Elsewhere, Theo arrives at the yard for the meeting with Pete. Pete flirts with Theo and suggests they should hook up again, but Theo makes it clear he’s not interested.
However, when Pete calls him a drama queen, Theo flies into a rage. His actions clearly have consequences as later, Theo worries as he reads an email from ex-wife Danielle’s solicitor detailing her maintenance demands, especially after losing Pete’s contract.
When Maria Windass reveals how Theo lost his temper with Pete, threatened him and now the business is hanging in the balance, his partner, Todd Grimshaw, is shocked.
As Gary Windass does his best to placate Pete in the hope he’ll change his mind, Todd approaches and is horrified to recognise Pete as the man in his flat.
Later, at the yard, Gary spells out to Theo that his one night stand has damaged the business and it’s best they go their separate ways., leaving Theo fuming.
Todd gives Sarah Platt and Harry a lift but when Harry spills his milkshake on the back seat of the car, Todd’s horrified, clearly worried about Theo’s reaction.
Sarah apologises profusely for the mess, but to Todd’s surprise, Theo takes it in his stride. However once inside Theo rails at Todd for his total disrespect for his new car.
Todd’s apologetic and promises to have it professionally cleaned. Once all traces of milkshake removed, Todd’s relieved, but as he reverses, he scrapes the car. Todd climbs out and looks at the scratch in horror, dreading Theo’s reaction.
Also on the cobbles, Christina Boyd’s worried George Shuttleworth is working too hard. When he falls asleep at his desk, she answers the phone and explains that George is too busy to take on any more work at the moment.
Meanwhile, when Christina hears she’s being evicted, George tells her she’s welcome to move into Todd’s old room. Christina’s delighted whilst Glenda’s furious, pointing out that she might be out on her ear when the new pub owners arrive.
And, in a bid to build bridges, Fiz and Tyrone Dobbs agree to lunch with Cassie Plummer. As Nick Tilsley steers his wheelchair through the Bistro, Tyrone’s embarrassed.
As he struggles to cut his food, Tyrone loses his temper and sends his plate crashing to the ground. They go to leave but Fiz spots her bag missing and a man making for the door. As she cries out, Dee-Dee’s new love interest Ollie quickly gives chase.
