Emmerdale fans are convinced they know which characters are set to have the soap’s next passionate affair, after an electrifying 30-second spoiler clip.

In upcoming scenes, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) is set to find out that Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) is still alive, despite having been led to believe that he had been murdered in 2020.

Graham and Rhona were romantically involved prior to his death, and had even planned to move to France together to start a new life.

Now, fans suspect that they could be set to pick up exactly where they left off, but behind Marlon Dingle’s (Mark Charnock) back. Viewers will know that in the six years since Graham’s ‘death’, Rhona has married Marlon.

In the new spoiler clip, we see Graham creep up behind Rhona and reveal that he is still alive, leaving her shocked.

However, it takes no time at all for her to soften, gently touching his face to prove to herself that he is real. And when he touches her hand in response, we can basically see the fireworks.

‘I can see an affair coming with Rhona or maybe Kim I know who I’d choose Marlon or Graham,’ Metro reader Janet wrote on Facebook, while Brenda added: ‘Rhona is involved with Graham…’

Mag agreed, writing: ‘If it’s Graham — she had a good relationship with him. It was fun and flirty on both sides. After so much misery with Marlon she must be hankering over those days.’

Fans on Twitter/X also have their suspicions that Rhona and Graham could be set to start a steamy affair.

Viewers first learnt that Graham was still alive during the ITV crossover event Corriedale, and his appearance sparked more questions than answers.

In the episode, we saw Graham driving a van, and in the back, there was a woman tied up. It has since been revealed that this woman is Coronation Street’s Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown), whose sister is Shona Platt (Julia Goulding).

However, we still have no idea how Graham and Jodie know each other, or what Graham was planning to do before she escaped his van.

We also got the impression that Graham has something in mind for Joe Tate (Ned Porteous). Joe and Graham have a complicated history, but ultimately Joe sees Graham as a father figure – but will he forgive him for letting him believe he’s been dead this whole time?

‘A familiar face is returning to the village full-time! None other than Graham Foster will make a sensational comeback,’ Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw enthused as she teased Graham’s return.

‘His return will have massive repercussions for both Kim Tate (Claire King), with whom he shares a complex love and hate relationship, and Rhona Goskirk, who was about to run away with him.

‘Graham will explain exactly what happened six years ago when he was “killed”, but the question will be whether Joe can ever forgive his father-figure for allowing him to believe he was dead…’

With even Laura suggesting that Graham’s return will have repercussions for Rhona, are fans right to suspect an affair?
