Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has revealed when her character Mandy Dingle will be back on our screens, following the actor’s recent appearance on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. While her loved ones have been at the forefront of the drama in the village, Mandy has been noticeably missing in action.

This week, Emmerdale finally unmasked Ray Walters’ killer as Bear Wolf, who was believed to have been murdered by Celia Daniels on New Years Day. During the special flashback, viewers saw Ray threatening Paddy Dingle and Dylan Penders, before (a very much alive) Bear lashed out and choked the villain to death.

Since then, Paddy has been protecting his vulnerable dad by loading Ray’s body into Jai Sharma’s van and keeping Bear hidden while the police conducted their enquiries.

However, episodes are filmed months ahead of airing, meaning Mandy hasn’t been around to help her family as Riley was busy in the jungle at the end of last year.

Addressing her absence on Twitter/X yesterday, Riley shared that she had already recommenced filming on the soap. The actor assured fans that Mandy’s return is on the horizon and teased “endless drama” to come.

“Yes, I’ve read all your messages that Paddy & Dylan @dominicbrunt & @Fred_Kettle are in a lot of trouble in @emmerdale,” she wrote, alongside a picture of herself and Dominic Brunt (who plays Paddy).

“We film far in advance – yes I’ve been back filming since 15th Dec. Mandy Dingle will be back week 3 in Feb. keep watching for endless drama. love to you all.”

The confirmation came as a relief to her followers who described Mandy as “the boss” of the family. “C’mon Mandy your boys need you back x,” replied one, while another wrote: “Go get it sorted mandy the dingles need the boss back.”

A third added: “Cant wait mandy brings the comedic factor this show lacks!!!!”
