Ahead of Lisa Riley’s arrival in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, her Emmerdale exit storyline has reportedly been confirmed.
‘It’s going to be ace! I will be there for everyone, but I don’t suffer fools gladly. My inner Mandy Dingle will come out if someone is mean!’, the star said as she discussed joining the 2025 cast.
Lisa’s character Mandy will temporarily be away from our screens in order to accommodate the weeks Lisa is going to spend Down Under.
It is said that her departure storyline will be ‘brief’ and ‘lowkey’, and that we will soon see the iconic face back in the Dales.
Lisa is ready to tackle the challenges of the jungle
A source added to The Sun: ‘Lisa filmed her scenes last week, Mandy goes to visit friends and will be back before you know it.’
‘She’ll be back filming full throttle once she’s back from her trip down under too. Fans won’t have long to wait for her return once the scenes air next year.’
Metro has contacted Emmerdale for a comment.
Lisa previously explained how she has been asked numerous times to feature on the popular ITV show, and she felt that with her approaching of 50, the 25th anniversary of playing Mandy, and her achievement of being sober for 10 years, she is ready for a big challenge.
And two personal tragedies in her life also drove her to take it on, as she reasoned nothing in the experience could possibly hurt her as much as they did.

She told us: ‘I lost my best friend not so long ago and mum got diagnosed at the age of 48 (with breast cancer), I’m 49.
‘Nothing can be as bad as that in life and I have got to see if I can do it. Every day is a blessing and I want to really enjoy everything.’
The 25th series of I’m A Celebrity also boasts a number of big names, including EastEnders star Shona McGarty, Eddie Kadi, Aitch, and Alex Scott MBE.
Completing the line-up are Jack Osbourne, Kelly Brook, Angry Ginge, Ruby Wax OBE, and Martin Kemp.
Lisa’s Emmerdale character Mandy is currently supporting husband Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), who has just made an alarming discovery about his father Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards).
Earlier this year, Bear left the village, with Paddy under the impression he was going to stay with a friend in Ireland.
Bear’s plan to see his mate fell through, which led him to sleeping in his car.
He was then found by Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) and taken to Celia Daniels’ (Jaye Griffiths) farm.
Now, Bear is being manipulated and groomed, in a storyline that looks at modern day slavery.
