At Billy’s place, Sally tells her boyfriend how amped she is for the launch tomorrow; she has a great team. Billy tells her Jack and Diane are excited and psyched for the party. Billy pulls out a mocked-up newspaper headline and write up and says they have a hit on their hands.

After reading the glowing review, Sally tells Billy how thoughtful it was of him to make it for her. They go over how exciting it all is ad nauseum until it’s time to make out. After some talk about his décor, Billy uses the newspaper to ask Sally to move in with him. She’s a little gun-shy, but Billy cajoles her until she admits she loves being there with him and warms to the logic of the idea.

Sally and Billy take it to the bedroom, talking business as they undress and fall onto the bed to make love. After, Sally worries about living and working together. She’s scared. Billy is too, but insists they’re built to last. Unsurprisingly, Sally agrees to move in.

Can Holden Handle Claire?

A determined Claire leads Holden into Society and orders two Vespers, suggesting that they’ll do some shots after. They go over her never having been drunk before and he asks why she wants to get sloshed. Blowing off his question, Claire downs her cocktail as Holden irks her by saying, “Go easy.” Backing off, he promises not to mess with her vibe. She rants that she doesn’t need anyone telling her what to do, think or feel right now. As Holden senses something is wrong, Claire declares that she wants to hear what happened with Audra in Los Angeles.

Holden acts cagey about it as Claire presses for details about their relationship and wonders how he “learned the hard way” about Audra. Holden guesses his ex is causing trouble. Claire tells him Kyle came clean about France and she wants to know how far Audra will go now that she’s been caught.

Holden admits his ex doesn’t hold back. Now tipsy, Claire complains that Audra’s acting out of pure vengeance. If Nate’s broken up with her, she’ll feel she has nothing left to lose. Holden hedges that she wouldn’t be violent, but she can be unpredictable. Having no idea of her history, he worries about Claire. The Newman, taking a refill from the bartender, declares that she’s not afraid of Audra Charles.

What Will Kyle Say to Audra?

Kyle jogs into the overlook and sees Audra, who needles that there are some things he will never outrun. When she brings up Claire, Kyle snaps entirely and questions her very humanity. Unfazed, Audra accuses him of still being attracted to her. Kyle asks if she actually wants to sleep with him and they bicker over the scene in the train car in France. Kyle claims getting close to her made him sick. He’s glad Claire exposed her to Nate and hopes her boyfriend dumps her on her ass.

After more barbs are exchanged, Kyle tells Audra she’s burned every bridge she has and urges her to leave town for good. Audra refuses to be pushed out. Kyle orders her to stay away from him and Claire. Audra warns when his girlfriend discovers the truth it won’t end well for him. Kyle vows to destroy her if she continues this campaign.

Audra scoffs when Kyle claims Victor’s on his side now that he passed his test. Audra mocks him for using the Mustache as a shield against her… he’s pathetic. Kyle warns, “Don’t make me come after you,” and walks off.

Back at the Abbott house, Kyle tells Jack he ran into Audra. Jack grimaces and asks if he’s heard from Claire. Kyle hasn’t… it’s not a good sign. Jack stands by his advice to give her space; he could make things worse. Kyle protests; he’s worried Claire will realize she’s better off without him. Jack’s sure they can overcome this. Kyle places all the blame on Audra and Victor, and decides that if he can drive Audra out of town, Claire will see that he’s sincere.

Still at Society, Holden asks why Claire wants to pick a fight with Audra, who’s already failed. Claire’s sure her nemesis will burn the house down just to make a point. She confesses that she’s learned more; things went pretty far between Kyle and Audra in France. Claire slurs about Kyle being sorry and trying to fix it. As she sneers that she’d love to slap the smug smile off of Audra’s face, Holden offers to handle his ex, warning that she plays very dirty. Claire informs him that he doesn’t know her whole past. Holden asks, “What would help you?” Claire replies, “Tell me what happened in Los Angeles.”

Audra walks in as Holden is trying to squirm out of telling Claire about his time with her in California. Smiling knowingly, the brunette strolls over and coos, “Well, well, well. Isn’t this cozy.”
