INSPIRATIONAL GIFT Emmerdale star looks unrecognisable as he chops off waist-length hair for touching reason
AN EMMERDALE star looked unrecognisable as he chopped off his waist-length hair for a very touching reason.
Actor and model, Steven Flynn is best known for his television roles in Emmerdale, Doctors, Holby City and Casualty.
Taking to Instagram last week, Steven posted an image of his waist long hair and captioned the image: “Time for a haircut. I’m donating most of this to @officiallittleprincesstrust.
“It costs almost £700 to process the hair into a wig, and I’d love to be able to cover that cost with some of your help.
“Any contributions would be greatly appreciated. Link in my bio. Thank you!”
Now he has updated his fans with snaps of his new haircut and captioned the pics with an emotional message: “A massive thank you to everyone who donated.
“With gift aid, I’ve managed to raise over £1000 for the @officiallittleprincesstrust.
“Also, a huge thanks to @frazer.james_ @woolfkingsx for taming the mane.”
Fans flocked to comment on his inspirational post and one wrote: “Heck it was long!”
Another added: “Amazing Steve, well done!”‘
While a third said: “What a damn beauty.”
Steven played Dr Alex Mason from 2017-2018 in the much loved soap Emmerdale.
Alex took a shine to Aaron Dingle who was still in love with Robert Sugden and swapped numbers with him.
Aaron then invited Alex over to his house but when Alex tried to kiss him, Aaron pulled away.
Aaron then apologised for giving Alex the wrong idea but then Aaron decided to give his relationship with Alex a go.
But it wasn’t long before Aaron started to acknowledge his true feelings for Robert.
Finally accepting where his heart really lay, Aaron cut ties with Alex for good – finally deciding to be honest about his feelings for Robert.
Aaron and Alex’s split paved the way for the long-awaited Robron reunion, but it also marked the end of the doctor’s stint on the show.
Speaking about his exit at the time on Twitter, Steven said: “It’s been a pleasure to play Alex. And in the end… we all knew the end game.”
Steven added: “Thanks to everyone for their messages about tonight’s episode!
“Time for Alex to runaway but I’m sure he wishes all the best for #Robron… deep down…”
