This week, the DiMera family welcomes Theo Carver back into the fold. And while you might be familiar with the Days of Our Lives character, he’s going to look a little different this time around thanks to a new portrayer. Check out the promo below to get your first look at the new Theo, then meet us on the other side for a debriefing.
So who, you may ask, is now playing Theo? Viewers will get their first look at newcomer Tyler Joseph Andrews in the role of Abe’s son on September 9 playing Abe’s son. This is the latest actor to step into the role that was last played by Cameron Johnson in 2023 when Theo gave a speech recounting the history of Juneteenth and we’ve seen the character several times on and off over the years.
For those less familiar with the character or in need of a reminder, it might be easy to question how someone with the last name “Carver” is part of the DiMera family. Well, Abe was once married to the late Lexie Brooks Carver, who was the love child of Stefano DiMera and his clairvoyant confidante/lover Celeste Perrault.
While there’s no telling at this point exactly why Theo’s back in town, it appears Tony has big plans for the young man who happens to be his nephew. But given the DiMera clan’s questionable history, it might be wise of Theo to think twice before diving head-first into anything proposed by his uncle!
Meanwhile, Theo isn’t the only character returning to the canvas… Back in late August, we reported that 13 stars would be coming back to Days of Our Lives. For what, you ask? The Peacock soap is planning a very special event — one you won’t want to miss!
On that note, we welcome Andrews to his first soap and we look forward to watching him make the role of Theo his own.
