New Coronation Street spoiler video reveals Kit’s life on the line in hospital drama
There is a lot at stake for Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) in upcoming Coronation Street scenes when Mal Roper (Tim Treolar) regains consciousness.
Mal has been in hospital for several weeks after suffering a cardiac arrest following a brutal attack.
The ordeal left him in critical condition, but now it seems he is set to pull through – and it’s bad news for DC Green.
Despite Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) having initially been arrested for the attack, it was actually Kit who was responsible.
Mal first met Bernie after learning that his wife had been secretly exchanging letters with Roy Cropper (David Neilson), so it’s safe to say he was looking to drown his sorrows.
Equally, Bernie was still struggling in the aftermath of son-in-law Billy Mayhew’s death, so it is no surprise that she and Mal were drawn to each other.

The following day, Bernie was full of regret after her drug-fuelled evening with Mal, who had kissed her in his hotel room. Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for Mal, who showed up as Roy’s new electrician.
In the weeks that followed, it became clear that Mal had developed a worrying obsession with Bernie and was convinced that they were in love.
When Bernie tried to set him straight, he held her in the café against her will.
Having clearly got the message that Bernie wanted nothing to do with him, Mal turned nasty, calling her names and insulting dead son Paul Foreman.
During their last interaction, Bernie made threats toward Mal, which were overheard, so it is no wonder that she was the number one suspect.

However, as a new spoiler video reveals, Mal is soon set to wake up, and there’s every chance that he will be able to remember the attack.
In a bid to keep his crime hidden, Kit shows up at the hospital to question Mal. Will Mal recognise him as his attacker?
This comes after a tense conversation with DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) the previous day, which sees Kit remain in control of the narrative as she questions him about the attack.
However, when she reveals that a witness has come forward, Kit is clearly rattled. Outside the station, Kit ambushes the witness, who instantly recognises him as the attacker.
Is the game up for Kit?
