NEW UPDATE! Coronation Street airs big move for Jodie – but her secrets haunt her
Coronation Street airs a big move for newcomer Jodie Ramsey tonight, following her recent reunion with her half-sister Shona Platt. But will she be able to outrun her secretive past, or could she be bringing trouble to the Platts’ door?
Jodie’s true identity was revealed last week, following her initial appearance on Corriedale. The mysterious character was tied up in the back of a van before escaping during the crash and taken to hospital.
It was there that her connection to Shona was uncovered as she followed the Platts back to Weatherfield and later reunited with her sister. However, Shona was more preoccupied with the precarious health of her newborn daughter, and told Jodie she would be in contact when things settle down.
In tonight’s episode, David questions why Shona kept her sibling a secret and suggests it was “fate” that brought them back together. Jodie arrives with food for the couple and enquires about baby Harper, but Shona brushes her off again and tells her to leave her phone number.

“I can’t help thinking there’s a reason I found you again. Like the universe bringing us together or summat,” Jodie says. “When I saw you in the hospital and the nurse said you’d been that crash an’ all…”
The Platts are shocked to hear that Jodie was also in the crash, cementing David’s “fate” theory. But viewers are still yet to receive an explanation about why she was tied up in the van driven by Emmerdale’s Graham Foster.

In the car park, Jodie suffers a panic attack after receiving several calls, texts and voicemails from an unidentified person. Worried David sees her clutching her chest and escorts her back into the hospital.
As the pair get to know each other, David learns that Jodie has nowhere to stay and no other family in the picture. He kindly offers her Max’s old room at the house until she finds somewhere else to live – though he doesn’t consult with Shona first.
Later, while Jodie settles into the house, she receives more sinister missed calls. The character is clearly avoiding someone but will they catch up to her? And has David unwittingly put his family in danger?
