The Coronation Street characters featured in the most episodes across 2025 have been revealed, and the result probably won’t surprise you, as last year saw one fan-favourite character really take centre stage.

Vicky Myers’ Lisa Swain takes the top spot, with her police detective job meaning she was involved in a lot of crime stories, while her beloved relationship with Carla Connor, dubbed ‘Swarla’, also received a lot of screen time.

The two stories combined later in the year, as Lisa’s seemingly-dead wife Becky turned up on the scene, and tried to break Swarla up while also hiding all the dodgy illegal activity she’s involved with.

Overall, Lisa appeared in 184 episodes in 2025 (via The Sun), while fellow LGBTQ+ character Todd Grimshaw, played by Gareth Pierce, landed in second place.

Todd appeared in 179 episodes across the year, with the soap dedicating a lot of time to his relationship with the awful Theo Silverton.

Sally Carman-Duttine’s Abi Wesbter featured in 173 episodes, due to her headline-grabbing affair with husband Kevin’s brother Carl. Alison King’s Carla followed very closely behind in fourth place, with 172 appearances.

Rounding out the top five is fellow police detective Kit Green, played by former Hollyoaks star Jacob Roberts. He appeared in 165 episodes in 2025.

Multiple older cast members didn’t make that many appearances across the year, with Barbara Knox’s Rita Tanner only popping up in 23 episodes.

Sue Nicholls’ Audrey Roberts and Bill Roache’s Ken Barlow didn’t feature all that often either, appearing in 28 and 33 episodes, respectively.

Lisa is set to be a major part of the Corriedale crossover episodes next week, as Becky’s escape plan ends up being the catalyst for disaster.

Todd and Sally will feature heavily too, while fans have been voting for which scene out of four they’d like to make the final edit.
