STAR ARRIVAL Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley arrives in Australia ahead of I’m A Celeb stint as she reveals how she’ll cope with jungle life
EMMERDALE’S Lisa Riley has arrived in Australia just days before she heads into the I’m A Celebrity camp.
The actress, who plays Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap, flashed a big smile as she strolled through Brisbane Airport on Sunday.
The soap star opened up about how she’ll cope with camp life as she insisted she’s made of tough stuff.
Mandy Dingle actress Lisa joked that she was returning to Australia to film a new version of 1997 special episode Emmerdale: The Dingles Down Under.
She said of the special, which saw her family travel to Oz: “We did Dingles Down Under many years ago so it’s only fair that we do Dingles Down Under again, I feel.
“I’m a Dingle – I can cope with anything, I’m from the North!
“Us Northerners, we’re made of tough skin. Definitely.”
Lisa said she will be unfazed by creepy-crawlies, saying: “I’ve worked on a farm for many years on Emmerdale – it’s part of the job being Mandy Dingle I suppose.
“I’m just here to have fun and a real good laugh.”

She said she wanted to see “lots of lovely, lovely people” as she is a “people person”.
Lisa – who arrived in Brisbane with four suitcases – added: “I’ve got a lot of stuff because I’m such a girly-girl.
“I’ve got a lot of bling. I’ve just got many options.”
But viewers will have to see whether she’s allowed to take it into camp with her.
Lisa, 49, has never hidden her desire to go into the jungle either.
A TV insider said: “Lisa is the perfect celebrity for the show because not only is she from a soap watched by millions she’s one of its biggest characters and it’s an ITV show to boot.
“She also has a naughty, mischievous sense of humour which is guaranteed to get a big response from her other celebrity campmates during their time in the jungle.
“Lisa is by no means the first star from Emmerdale to have gone on I’m a Celebrity and those that do always tend to get a great response from viewers at home.”
A host of famous faces are making their way to Australia.
Kelly Brook was the first celebrity to touch down in Australia ahead of her I’m A Celebrity appearance.
The model, 45, looked in good spirits as she arrived at Brisbane Airport on Sunday after a 24 hour flight.
Despite the long journey, Kelly looked fresh-faced and raring to go with a full face of makeup and rocking a stunning yellow dress.
The star kept tight-lipped about her I’m A Celeb appearance but revealed what she’s going to miss the most while she’s in camp.
Kelly said: “I am going to miss my dog Teddy and my husband Jeremy, and my food in general.”
Kelly joked as she arrived at Brisbane Airport: “I haven’t seen my auntie Sheila for a long time so I can’t wait to see her, and I’m so excited that you’re all so excited for me.”
Asked about how she is with creepy-crawlies, Kelly quipped there might be some in her “relative’s” garden and added: “I don’t know what you’re talking about, I’m visiting a distant cousin.

“I’m looking forward to surfing. Like I said, I’m looking forward to seeing my distant cousin that I’ve not seen for a long, long time… the koalas and the kangaroos.
“So much to look forward to.”
Last night, Shona was spotted without her engagement ring at Heathrow as she arrived at the airport.
Shona, who split from her Irish musician fiancee last month, looked stylish in an oversized faux fur black coat and a pink jumper.
Despite the recent heartbreak, she appeared in good spirits and was seen laughing and smiling while holding a drink in her hand.
But her engagement ring was noticeably missing from her left ring finger after The Sun revealed she had split from her guitarist ex David Bracken.
Just yesterday, Shona shared a cryptic post on “new beginnings” and being “unapologetically me” after her shock split with her fiance.
David popped the question last year but sadly their relationship has faltered.
The actress was said to be still on good terms with 36-year-old David.
