The truth is out: Celia’s sick plan to get rid of April revealed in early Emmerdale ITVX release

The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.

Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) has ran out of patience for April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) in Emmerdale.

The youngster has been dealing drugs for her for the majority of this year. In an attempt to clear more of her debt, April decided to accept different jobs from Celia and Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), but they involved meeting older men who wanted to have sex with her.

During one of these meetings, April defended herself against a man called Callum by hitting him over the head with a bottle. April then saw blood pouring from Callum’s head immediately after, and thought he was dead.

She ran to Ray and Celia, who dealt with the situation to stop her from going to the police. April remains unaware, however, that Callum is actually alive.

With April under the impression she is a murderer, keeping this a secret amid the many other traumatic events she’s endured this year has left her a very vulnerable young woman. Her state of mind has left boyfriend Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) incredibly worried, so he orchestrated an event a few days ago to try and give her a break.

Dylan ended up calling the police and revealing that drugs were being moved through the depot. He knew that, with the police sniffing around, Ray and Celia would stop them dealing for a few days.

It gave April a break, but she used her time off to focus on Callum.

With some money in her pocket, April went to Callum’s house after finding it through social media. In her eyes, a child was without their dad because of her, and she felt compelled to try and do something to assuage her guilt – even just a small amount.

She posted a Christmas card through the door, which had the money in, and left. If April was slower as she left the house, she would’ve seen Callum arrive on the doorstep.

Callum called Ray, who then cornered April and confronted her about her actions.

She tried to tell Ray that she felt awful at the fact Callum had a family, but he didn’t really care. He told April to lock her guilt away and if she didn’t, he would ‘get serious’ again.

Ray failed to tell Celia what was going on with April when she found him a few moments later, but had no choice but to reveal the youngster’s mistake when his mum caught him on the phone to Callum.

By this point, Celia was incredibly tired of April and her constant problems. She told Ray that they can easily get rid of her, and replace her with another mule they can control.

April speaks to Marlon in the village in Emmerdale

Celia instructed Ray to move April away from the village and her family. She said that if being completely alone in a place she doesn’t know doesn’t break her spirit, nothing will.

Whether April will actually leave remains to be seen at the moment, as we know she will end up confessing everything to Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock).

Will this happen just as April prepares to depart the village, therefore creating another issue for Celia?

‘She should absolutely escape!’, star Jaye Griffiths said when asked about Celia’s inevitable downfall.

‘Her comeuppance is that she’s lonely. She has a penthouse that you never see, because she’s never in it. What is her life? What does she enjoy? She never goes home. What is the quality of her life? Her life is very small. She has all this money in the bank, and yet she does nothing.

‘She doesn’t go anywhere, she doesn’t have friends, she manipulates everyone she meets, it’s a lonely existence…’
