Think you know how Willow’s trial’s gonna end on #GH? Think again. The headwriters’ remarks hint at a major upset: Headwriters Tease the ‘Losers’ in Court as Willow’s Fate Is Revealed
General Hospital viewers may wanna brace themselves: The show has us all set up to expect it to zig when in fact it’s going to zag. How so?
What It Looked Like Was Gonna Happen
In the January 13 episode (recapped in full here), Alexis chose to keep her lips zipped about the new intel that had come to light implicating her client, Willow, in the shooting of her now-husband, Drew. As the attorney’s partner, Diane, warned, if Alexis ratted out Willow, she’d be disbarred — and not for the first time, either.
On top of that, Drew, his logic always a question mark, likely would punish Alexis by ensuring that she’d never see granddaughter Scout again.

What the Headwriters Hint Will Happen
All of that being the case, we were set to watch Willow walk free, thus putting ex-husband Michael in Acting D.A. Turner’s crosshairs. (More on that here.) But it ain’t necessarily so. In speaking with TV Insider ahead of the climax of the storyline, headwriters Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte warned that “no matter what the verdict [is], Alexis and Scout may wind up losers.”
How is that even possible? Follow along. Alexis filled in Diane on the bombshell that Trina and Kai dropped on her. One hush-hush conversation between Diane and the judge could get a mistrial declared and set up Willow to be retried. If, or when, Drew discovers the path that led to his wife’s return to the hot seat, two things could happen.
One, Congressman Cutthroat could be relieved, knowing that his better half can’t take another shot at him. But two, as obsessed as he is with Willow, we’d bet on him being angry at Alexis for putting her freedom in jeopardy and barring Sam’s mother from seeing Scout. Hence, Grandma and her granddaughter would end up the aforementioned losers in the scenario.
