Virgin River Season 7 Finally Reveals Its Premiere Month

Virgin River season 7 has revealed its premiere month. One of Netflix’s longest-running dramas returned with its sixth installment in December 2024, once again topping the streaming charts and proving its staying power as one of the streamer’s most-watched originals. While the upcoming episodes promise more of Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson), there is also a major cliffhanger waiting to be addressed.

An adaptation of the popular Robyn Carr novels, Virgin River season 7 ends by teasing the possibility that Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) could be dead. While audiences will have to wait for any concrete explanation on what happened to Jack’s ex-girlfriend, the good news is that they won’t be waiting too much longer to see how it all unfolds.

In an interview with Good Day New York to promote his new movie The Christmas Ring, which is currently available on VOD, star Ben Hollingsworth reveals that Virgin River season 7 will premiere in March 2026. The debut month is first announced by one of the hosts of the morning show, with Hollingsworth later confirming the news and reflecting on the show’s record-breaking season 8 renewal and his journey as Dan Brady:

Virgin River season 8, which officially makes it Netflix’s longest-running live-action scripted series, wrapped filming in June. It will feature some new additions to the romance drama’s large ensemble. Sara Canning, who played Aunt Jenna on The Vampire Diaries, joins the adaptation as an ex-cop who was shot while on the job. She now works for the state medical board as an investigator, with her arrival focused on investigating Doc’s practice.

Riverdale alum Cody Kearsley also joins the Virgin River cast as Clay, a foster kid looking for his sister. Other returning actors include Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Grazzini, Kai Bradbury, and Kandyse McClure. There will be one familiar face missing, however, with showrunner and executive producer Patrick Sean Smith confirming that Mark Ghanimé will no longer be a main cast member. Ghanimé played Dr. Cameron Hayek, joining in season 4.
