What’s really going on with #GH’s Josslyn? Eden McCoy digs into the heart of the matter. As Josslyn’s Future Could Be In Jeopardy, General Hospital’s Eden McCoy Admits Even She ‘Struggled’ With Josslyn’s Shocking Turn

With spoilers for Tuesday’s General Hospital episode telling us that Carly’s about to give Sonny a warning, we’d be lying if we weren’t very curious about what she’s going to say! Is she going to throw Josslyn under the bus? Give Sonny some vague warning about the WSB coming after him? Use him to further her and Valentin’s goal of getting Joss out of the spy business? Or is she going to warn him about something else entirely?

Betraying her daughter or not, if Carly does run to Sonny with a warning against Josslyn, it could be another nail in the coffin of the young agent’s WSB career. In fact, just the idea of Joss trying to take down Sonny had us thinking this was surely going to be the downfall of her career! On top of that, Jack and Jason are both trying to get her to back off of Cullum, but her blizzard stunt may have already put her on his radar.

There’s a lot working against Joss right now, and all of it could bring her spy days crashing down. Or, she could rise to the occasion and prove everyone wrong. Realistically, we know there are a lot of viewers hoping for the former. Fans have struggled to get onboard Joss’ spy games, and even Eden McCoy recently told Michael Fairman that she was having a tough time with her character’s justifications!

While at first, this all seemed to be to avenge Dex’s death, Josslyn didn’t hold back during that explosive fight with Carly and threw the Sonny of it all into her mom’s face. McCoy admitted that at first, she “struggled with the concept of me just joining the WSB, to bring Sonny down. Me, as Eden, didn’t see that that way, at least at first.” If anything it, as a number of fans have pointed out, feels like it came out of nowhere, “because Josslyn is saying a lot of feelings she’s carried for a long time that are older feelings to have that she never really vocalized to her mother and this is that opportunity.”

But the more she thought about it, the more she decided that she didn’t “think it’s [Josslyn’s] sole mission to bring Sonny down, specifically.” That’s a part of it, and upon thinking about it, she says it does make sense that there’s a lot of unresolved trauma around Sonny and the danger her loved ones are constantly in because of it. But more than anything, it’s Josslyn making a choice and wanting to take control of her life and her destiny.

It’s Joss’ way of asking, McCoy told Fairman, “What’s the alternative? Being a lifeguard for another 10 years and pretending like I’m okay with everything that’s happened and not doing anything about it?”

And when she puts it that way, we’re kind of cheering for Josslyn to take control of her life and the hands she’s been dealt. But that doesn’t necessarily mean this is it for her now. Things could still blow up in her face, as Sidwell and Cullum are two very dangerous men.

And when it comes to Sonny, hitting constant dead-ends in taking him down could sour her on the whole idea. But no matter what happens, this does seem to have been a turning point for Josslyn. And whatever comes next, she’s made it clear she won’t take it lying down.
