No matter how old we may be, there are always certain things that brings us back to our childhood. Whether it be a song, a special place or even a bug. Yep, a bug — or as General Hospital’s Ryan Paevey (Nathan) likes to refer to them as, “critters.” The ABC soap fave posted a video on his official Instagram during an “epic adventure” in Barbados, to showcase some of the things that turn him back into an 8-year-old.

“I like critters. Like, all of them. No need to say “eww”…they probably think you’re gross too but who knows, haha,” Paevey shared then went on to inform, “Anyways, if you ever wanna see me magically turn back into an 8-year-old, find a caterpillar or a bug or a cool fish. Or a dog.”

The video started with the actor reiterating, “So, if you didn’t already know, I go crazy for critters,” and viewers will see that everywhere he goes, his “head’s on a swivel,” looking, exploring, simply taking in every bit of nature around him. And while on his adventure, he got to see many critters that he doesn’t normally get to enjoy back at home. Everything from caterpillars, crabs — and things you don’t touch — to the many wonders of the ocean, Paevey gave us a glimpse of it all.

So, the next time you see a critter that may initially cause you to say, “eww,” take a step back and just watch them for a few minutes… You may find that you like critters too!
